Resilient waterfront platform
The EPX2 Resilient Waterfront Platform is a new and useful process, a resilient building technology that provides for the efficient adaptation and safeguard of waterfronts against adverse events. It is an optimized, elevated Waterfront Resiliency infrastructure solution that is legible, practical, high quality, highly efficient, and deployable, and provides a timely go-to standard for new and existing Waterfront communities and historic districts at risk to Climate Change. One purpose of this resilient building technology is to improve public safety and minimize property damage in response to accelerating climate change forces, including seismic, flooding, and sea level rise. The platform assembly is comprised of several components including elevated sea walls, wharves, piers, buildings, accessways and the rehabilitation of historic architecture components, as applicable. It is an effective, practical, and permanent solution to resist natural forces, while providing a modernized platform for a variety of waterfront experiences.
LIVING MARINE QUAY WALL
Embodiments provide a quay wall attachment and a method for promoting biodiversity in a marine environment. The quay wall attachment includes a quad plate and a module. The quad plate is secured to a portion of a quay wall located underwater. The module includes a coral module, a fish module, a plant module, and combinations of the same. The coral module includes living corals and is secured to the quad plate. The fish module includes a hollow space and is secured to the quad plate. The plant module includes living marine plants and a hollow space, and is secured to the quad plate.
DOCK FLOAT SYSTEM
A composite floating dock system comprised of one or more dock float components, with each dock float component having a dock frame and one or more floats attached thereto, with each of the dock float components constructed of fiberglass reinforced plastic into a single monolithic unit, and being ballasted with encased concrete.
SYSTEM AND METHOD OF REPAIRING SEAWALLS AND CHANNEL WALLS
A repair system for existing aquatic walls including seawalls, channel walls other water barriers includes a laminate sheet constructed of a fiber reinforced polymer that is adhered along its perimeter and bolted to the surface of an aquatic wall. An annular gap is formed between the adhered/bolted laminate sheet and the aquatic wall, and that gap is injected with an exothermic bonder that connects the laminate sheet to the aquatic wall.
Wharf constituted by arched walls and plane ties
The invention relates to a retaining work (12) in ground (S), the work having a vertical front portion and separating a first portion of ground (S1) from a second portion of ground. The front portion (14) is in the form of juxtaposed arched walls (16), each arched wall (16) presenting a concave side facing the first portion of ground and a convex side facing the second portion of ground, and the retaining work (12) further includes a rear portion (20) comprising a plurality of wall elements (22) having their largest faces extending vertically in the second portion of ground (S2), each wall element (22) being arranged between two adjacent arched walls (16) and extending transversely relative to the front portion (14).
Construction method for underwater concrete block structure
Proposed is a construction method for an underwater concrete block structure. The concrete block structure is formed by stacking a plurality of concrete blocks on a foundation concrete block structure by using a guide pipe, and a concrete column is formed by, before removing the guide pipe, inserting a concrete column forming set such as a waterproof membrane through the inside of the guide pipe, so that the waterproof membrane can be inserted conveniently and safely and the construction speed of the concrete block structure can be further improved.
Method for producing a retaining wall
A method for fabricating a retaining wall configured to extend into a ground comprising the steps of providing at least a first longitudinal support having a receiving part and extending along a first longitudinal direction; placing the first longitudinal support transversely to the ground; providing at least a first module comprising a longitudinal element and a first wing; positioning the first module parallel to the first longitudinal support; connecting the first module to the first longitudinal support, so that the first wing of the first module is slidably engaged with the receiving part of the first longitudinal support; then moving said first module in translation along the first longitudinal direction, and sinking said first module into the ground and then the first longitudinal support into the ground.
Maritime bulkhead protector
A bulkhead protector apparatus is described. The protector is configured to be mounted within a cavity of the sheetpile of a bulkhead in order to prevent waves, wake, and debris from reaching the top portion of the bulkhead, minimizing damage and prolonging the life of the bulkhead. An angled waterguard portion is disposed within the cavity, and is configured to deflect water down and away from the top of the bulkhead. The waterguard portion is mounted to a whaler of the bulkhead via a planar mount portion which is secured to the underside of the whaler of the bulkhead via stainless steel lag bolts.
Concrete block construction method and guide member for installing concrete block
A concrete block construction method, including: manufacturing a plurality of concrete blocks each having a vertical guide hole formed in a vertical direction; preparing a guide member for installing the concrete blocks; forming a lower concrete block structure by installing at least one of the concrete blocks; placing the concrete block subject to be installed on the lower concrete block structure by inserting the installation guide pole into the vertical guide hole of the concrete block subject to be installed; and separating and recovering the guide member for installing the concrete block from the concrete block subject to be installed, after placing the concrete block subject to be installed.
