Synthetic grass cover for MSE walls
A mechanically stabilized earth (MSE) wall and/or synthetic grass cover including alternating layers of granular fills and soil reinforcement geo-grids; a wire wall facing; and a synthetic grass cover for covering the wire wall facing, the synthetic grass comprising a geo-textile backing and a plurality of synthetic grass blades comprising synthetic yarns tufted into the geo-textile backing and having a length and density sufficient to substantially shade the geo-textile backing from solar UV rays.
Geomaterial web with biological degradation properties
A geomaterial web includes a first organic structural material and a second structural material that is different from the first structural material, which is bonded together with the first structural material to form a sheet-like composite material web extending in two mutually perpendicular directions. The first structural material and the second structural material are organic materials, where the first structural material has a first biodegradability and the second structural material has a second biodegradability that is different from the first biodegradability. The second biodegradability may be less than the first biodegradability.
PERMAFROST THAWING PREVENTION VIA A COOLING GEOTEXTILE
Permafrost thawing prevention may involve deploying a cooling geotextile onto a permafrost soil. The geotextile may include a biomass scaffold comprising natural plant-based fibers. The geotextile may further include a cellulose layer comprising cellulose fibers laminated onto the biomass scaffold such that the cellulose fibers are physically entangled with the plant-based fibers. The geotextile may further include a hydrophobic and biodegradable coating which defines at least one surface of the geotextile. The geotextile may be optically opaque, exhibits high solar reflectivity, and maintains high mid-infrared emissivity to enable passive radiative cooling.
BIODEGRADABLE FLOOR SEALING MEMBRANE
A geosynthetic mat comprises an upper and a lower cover layer and a middle filler layer arranged between the upper cover layer and the lower cover layer and consisting of a filler layer material comprising a swellable material. The top cover layer and/or the bottom cover layer consist of a biodegradable material or comprise a biodegradable material, the peel strength being characterised by a residual peel strength degree at a predetermined point in time after the start of the biodegradation process, which is formed by the square number of a quotient of a reduced peel strength, which the upper and lower cover layer and a connecting structure have at the predetermined point in time, to an initial peel strength, which the upper and lower cover layer and the connecting structure have before the start of a biodegradation process.
