ROTARY DITCHING ATTACHMENT FOR A TOOL MANIPULATING ARM

A rotary ditching attachment for an articulated boom of an excavator type machine includes two rotary excavating heads supported in spaced relation on opposite sides of a central support. The heads rotate about a common axis. The rotary ditching attachment is rotatably coupled to the boom by a rotating tool mount. The rotating tool mount is connectable to the central support such that the central support and attached excavating heads are rotatable about an axis extending through the central support and perpendicular to the common axis of the excavator heads. Excavating assemblies are mounted on outwardly facing and inwardly facing surfaces of rotors forming each excavating heads. Rotating the rotary ditching attachment relative to a direction of movement of the rotary ditching tool relative to the ground increases the width of cut of the excavating heads when used to form or rehabilitate a ditch.

A method of securing optical fiber and/or innerduct/microduct 140 within a microtrench 11 by laying the optical fiber and/or innerduct/microduct 140 within a microtrench 11 and inserting a plurality of microtrench plugs 6 into the microtrench 11 above the optical fiber and/or innerduct/microduct 140 to secure the optical fiber and/or innerduct/microduct 140 in the microtrench 11 and reduce bowing of the optical fiber and/or innerduct/microduct 140 up from a bottom of the microtrench 11.

Trench cutting machine
11619024 · 2023-04-04 · ·

A trench cutting machine for making a cut in a surface includes a frame with at least one rear axle and at least one front axle, and a rotatable circular blade mounted the frame. The front axle is vertically adjustable relative to the frame between a first position where the circular blade is lifted clear of the surface, and a second position where the circular blade is arranged to extend downwards from the frame to cut a predetermined distance into the surface. The frame includes an auxiliary front axle located in front of the axis of rotation of the circular blade. The auxiliary front axe and the rear axle are arranged to support the frame on the surface during a cutting operation and to maintain a selected depth of cut. A shroud assembly and a debris guiding device for such a machine are also included.
