Pilot actuator for actuating a control valve

A pilot actuator for controlling the operation of a control valve. The control valve can be part of a thy-type fire suppression sprinkler system in which the sprinkler piping network is filled with pressurized gas such as, for example, air, nitrogen, or another gas. The pilot actuator is a differential valve that actuates the control valve when the gas pressure in the sprinkler piping network is at or below a value for tripping or actuating the pilot valve to the open position. The actuator assembly defines a neutral chamber that is at an intermediate pressure in comparison to pressures at the inlet port and the measuring port when the pilot actuator is in a stand-by state.

A primary diaphragm assembly is disposed within the pressure vessel and includes a primary disc configured to be moveable to actuate the valve assembly to selectively open and close the flow path between the valve inlet chamber and the outlet, and a primary diaphragm connected to the primary disc. A secondary diaphragm assembly is disposed within the pressure vessel and includes a secondary diaphragm and a secondary disc, the secondary diaphragm assembly configured to actuate the primary diaphragm assembly by venting fluid pressure on one side of the primary diaphragm. An activation assembly is configured to actuate the secondary diaphragm assembly by venting fluid pressure on one side of the secondary diaphragm.

Flush valve and motor alignment bracket

A flush valve assembly including a manifold including an inlet, an outlet, and a fluid passageway positioned between the inlet and the outlet, a motor coupled to the manifold and including a drive gear, a valve cartridge coupled to the manifold, and a shaft extending from the valve cartridge. The shaft includes a valve gear configured to mesh with the drive gear. Rotational motion from the motor is transferred through the drive gear, the valve gear, and the valve shaft to rotate the valve cartridge between a first position and a second position. The flush valve assembly additionally includes a bracket removably coupled to the manifold. The bracket is configured to align the drive gear and the valve gear in a predetermined position.
