Roof system with energy efficient features
A roof system that includes a roof covering in the form of planting areas, a water storage, a wind turbine, a water turbine, a solar panel, and a water heater. The roof system includes a plurality of ceramic chambers each including a wind turbine and a recess for housing a planter area.
A BUILDING WALL AND A METHOD FOR MANUFACTURE
A method for manufacture of a fire-proof and insulating prefabricated building wall comprising a wall core of an expanded, foamed plastic material, such as EPS (expanded polystyrene), with an integrated reinforcement structure and a coating of a cementitious material.
Energy-efficient mobile buildings
Among other things, there is shown embodiments of an enclosure such as a portable building with features focusing on overall improvement in energy usage. Wall, roof and floor configurations are disclosed that provide significant energy savings. Methods are also disclosed for preparing such features and/or refitting existing portable buildings for such energy savings.
HIGH PERFORMANCE ARCHITECTURAL PRECAST CONCRETE WALL SYSTEM
A construction panel comprising a rigid insulation layer having an interior surface and an exterior surface, an outer concrete wythe secured to the exterior surface of the insulation layer, an inner concrete wythe secured to the interior surface of the insulation layer, a grid system which ties the outer concrete wythe to the inner concrete wythe and a capillary tube system located within the construction panel wherein liquid is passed through the tubing in order to increase or decrease the temperature of the construction panel.
THERMAL SHELL, IN PARTICULAR FOR A BUILDING
The present invention relates to a thermal shell for a building, apt to constitute a multi-layer system formed by three integral elements having, respectively, from the outside towards the inside: an external peripheral wall/casing with the function of thermal insulating wall; an interspace filled with air to be conditioned; an internal wall/casing with the function of heat-radiating wall/casing; comprising: a covering structure (10) positioned around the building (1), or part of said building (1), the covering structure (10) comprising, proceeding from the outside towards the inside of the building (1): a coating (11), an insulating layer (16) and an interspace (12); the interspace (12) containing air and forming a closed and isolated room with respect to the surrounding environment; means (13) of thermal conditioning of the air contained in the interspace, so that the shell defines an internal wall/casing.
CROSS-LAMINATED TIMBER PANEL HAVING A CONDUIT THEREIN AND ATTACHABLE FITTING
A fitting attachable to a cross-laminated panel provides a chase, plumbing space, airflow duct, or wiring route on an edge of the cross-laminated panel. The fitting may run between edges of multiple cross-laminated panels that contain integral hollow members, forming a customizable network of contiguous coplanar routing paths, accessible without installing pipes and wires behind, or in front of the cross-laminated panels. The fitting may also provide a vertical chase for single or multiple cross-laminated panels. The fitting takes advantage of one or more hollow members in the cross-laminated panels to provide contiguous routing paths for wires, pipes, and venting within the cross-laminated panels themselves, extending across any layout of multiple cross-laminated panels. The fitting may additionally serve as mechanical support for attachment of adjacent panels. Further, the fitting may provide structural connection for the CLT panels as required to meet structural code requirements for the building.
A RELEASABLE FASTENING ARRANGEMENT
A first unit (100) including a first member (110) of a releasable fastening arrangement (300) is presented. The releasable fastening arrangement (300) is arranged to provide a mechanical connection of the first unit (100) to a second unit (200), and an electrical connection of a first electrical circuit (120) included in the first unit (100) to a second electrical circuit (220) included in the second unit (200), when a male profile (115) of the first member (110) is inserted into a corresponding female profile (215) included in a second member (210) of the second unit (200). The mechanical connection is provided based one or more at least partially resilient latching arm members (117) of the male profile (115) engaging with one or more corresponding slots (217) of the corresponding female profile (215). The electrical connection is provided by contact between one or more first flexible conductors (124) arranged on a first flexible and electrically insulating layer (126) of the first electrical circuit (120) and one or more second flexible conductors (224) arranged on a second flexible and electrically insulating layer (226) of the second electrical circuit (220).
Latent heat storage building element
A latent heat storage window includes a plurality of cells, an operation mechanism, and a magnetic material. The plurality of cells are formed by encapsulating a latent heat storage material including two or more components. The operation mechanism can be operated by a user. The magnetic material causes a specific component of the two or more components included in the latent heat storage material to be unevenly distributed when the operation mechanism is operated.
PREFABRICATED MULTI-CONDUIT BUILDING PANEL DESIGN
Prefabricated wall panels simplify the constructive of building units and other structures. The prefabricated wall panels can include a set of conduits pre-installed within the wall panels that enable simplified installation and conduit routing within a building unit or structure. The set of conduits can include electrical conduit, plumbing conduit, HVAC conduit, networking conduit, fire alarm conduit, and fire sprinkler conduit. The prefabricated wall panels can include above-door cavities to assist with structure design and coupling conduits between prefabricated panels. The prefabricated panels can additionally include dual-headed fire sprinklers that enable one fire sprinkler conduit to spray into multiple rooms, reducing the overall number of fire sprinkler conduits required within a structure.
