FASTENER PLATE FOR SECURING AN UNDERLAYMENT TO A ROOF SURFACE
A fastener plate for use in coupling an underlayment to a roof surface is disclosed. In use, the fastener plate is arranged and configured to enable subsequently applied liquid coatings to flow through a top surface of the fastener plate and into one or more cavities so that the liquid coating seals any openings created by introduction of the fastener. In one embodiment, the fastener plate may include a top surface, a bottom surface, a fastener opening for receiving a fastener, a plurality of openings formed in the top surface, and one or more cavities positioned between the top surface and the bottom surface, the one or more cavities being in fluid communication with the plurality of openings so that the liquid coating can flow through the plurality of openings formed in the top surface and into the one or more cavities to seal any voids created by the fastener.
Panel For Use As Exterior Covering For Roofing Or Siding And Building Structure Having Same
A building panel of the roofing or siding type is disclosed, as well as a building structure having such roofing or siding panels, in which the panels are comprised of two different types of building materials. The composite panel includes at least one layer of synthetic polymeric building material, having adhesively secured thereto at least one layer of asphalt based building material, with outer, upper surfaces of the panel, that would be weather-exposed in the installed condition on a building structure being comprised of the asphalt based building material, and with the synthetic polymeric layer(s) of polymeric building material being weather-protected in the installed condition on a building structure.
Formed interlocking roofing panels
An interlocking panel system for top-down installation on an underlying structure including a plurality of panels, with an uphill course and a downhill course where each panel is generally rectangular, having an uphill edge and opposing downhill edge. An interlocking member is disposed along the uphill edge, and a receiving member adapted to receive the interlocking member and a joining flange are disposed along the downhill edge. A panel of the uphill course is affixed to an underlying structure via fasteners through the joining flange. The interlocking member of a panel of the downhill course is insertable into the receiving member of the uphill course, and the position of the panel of the downhill course is adjustable within the span of the receiving member.
Modular roof panel with integrated drainage system
A roof panel includes a planar body having top and bottom edges, with a downturn edge extending therebetween, and an opposing channel edge. The downturn edge overlays a channel edge of an adjacent panel. The bottom edge overlays a top edge of another adjacent panel. A plurality of courses extends between the channel and downturn edges. Each course includes a nesting ridge to receive the downturn edge of an adjacent panel and to position a top surface of the panel flush with adjacent panels. Surface channels and contoured ridges are defined within each course. A drain aperture of the drip edge aligns with an adjacent channel edge to direct material through the drain aperture and onto adjacent panels. A gable member engages an edge when the panel has one or fewer laterally adjacent panels, wherein the gable member is flush with the adjacent planar body.
Interlocking roof shingle and roofing system
Interlocking roof shingle has a front rounded tongue on the first side edge; a tongue on the first end edge; an elongated groove assembly on the upper surface with a groove defined therein; a groove in the second end edge of the body; a groove in the second side edge of the body; and an elongated tongue assembly on the lower surface. In an embodiment of the invention, the front rounded tongue of an upper roof shingle is inserted into the elongated groove assembly of a lower roof shingle while at the same time a leg of the elongated tongue assembly of the upper roof shingle enters into a groove in the second end edge of the lower roof shingle for interlocking upper and lower shingles. The tongue on the first end edge is inserted into a corresponding groove in the second end edge of an adjacent roof shingle.
Modular roof panel with integrated drainage system
A roof panel includes a planar body having top and bottom edges, with a downturn edge extending therebetween, and an opposing channel edge. ROOF TILE WITH INTEGRATED RISER
Improvements a roof tile with an integrated riser is disclosed. The roof tile with integrated riser has the shape and color to provide a similar appearance to the original tiles. The integrated riser provides a support and complete sealing to prevent intrusion from water through the riser. The riser can be formed by insert casting the riser into the roof tile, or can be bonded into a pocket in the roof tile. The composition of the roof tiles can be adjusted to reduce how brittleness of the tile. The roof tile is secured to the roof sheeting and studs. Filler material in the tile composition can also provide additional sealing capability to nails or screws that are used to secure the roof tile. The roof tile is a simpler installation that does not require removal of a large number of tiles from the existing roof.
