One or more devices for being received within a downspout of a rain gutter assembly are provided. The one or more devices may be provided for collecting rainwater flowing through the gutter assembly. One or more collection tanks for storing collected rainwater are also provided. One or more accessory devices for use with the one or more collector devices and the one or more storage tanks are also provided.

A saturated layer stormwater filtering system with down-flow layered multimedia filters is disclosed. The filtering system may include an upflow pretreatment chamber and a subsequent filtration chamber. It also includes a snorkel pipe as an adjustable head control or internal baffles. The system incorporates gravity powered partially saturated stormwater media filters to harness the potential energy of stormwater from downspouts and pumped flows from stormwater catchments to drive the polluted stormwater in a hydraulically controlled fashion by gravity through a series of filter media layers.

An automatic downspout assembly includes an intake pipe that is fluidly coupled to a downspout of a gutter on a building to receive precipitation from the downspout. A spout is rotatably coupled to and extends laterally away from the intake pipe and the spout is in fluid communication with the intake pipe to receive the precipitation. A stand is positionable beneath the intake pipe when the intake pipe is fluidly coupled to the downspout to support the intake pipe above a support surface. A tipping pipe is fluidly coupled to the spout to receive precipitation from the spout. The tipping pipe is biased into a home position and the tipping pipe can be urged into a tipped position when the tipping pipe fills with precipitation. In this way the tipping pipe directs the precipitation onto ground.

The disclosure relates to a portable waste collection and sanitation system designed to handle liquid and solid waste, and while conserving water and minimizing odors. The sanitation system is also designed with modular components adapted for in-home installation, where the system can be quickly disassembled and relocated as needed, such as for moving the components to a new location based on environmental conditions.

An automatic downspout assembly includes an intake pipe that is fluidly coupled to a downspout of a gutter on a building to receive precipitation from the downspout. A spout is rotatably coupled to and extends laterally away from the intake pipe and the spout is in fluid communication with the intake pipe to receive the precipitation. A downspout extension system for a terminal end of a downspout is provided. The downspout extension system can include a collar member, an enclosure member, and an extension member. The collar member can include a first end being open and a second end being closed. The collar member can include a first tab disposed directly across from a second tab. The enclosure member can be selectively slidably disposed in the first end of the collar member. The extension member can be disposed on the collar member. The extension member can include a first aperture configured to receive the first tab and a second aperture configured to receive the second tab. The collar member and the enclosure member can together be configured to receive the terminal end of the downspout and to securely hold the terminal end between the collar member and the enclosure member with mechanical force.

A downspout end cover protects and closes a lower end of a rain gutter downspout assembly. The cover includes a body that forms a continuous hollow channel with the top and the bottom for passage of collected rainwater. The back of the body forms a first aperture sized to attach to an end of the downspout and the front forms a second aperture that emits collected rainwater. A door is rotatably attached to the front of the body at a top of the front of the body by a hinge and when closed, prevents entry of animals, insects or blown debris. A ledge provided behind the door, so that the door, when closed, rests against the ledge and does not protrude from the body, protecting the door and sealing the downspout end cover against entry of insects and preventing detachment of the door from the body.

A water drainage system includes an underground conduit, a pop-up drain emitter, and a turf cover. The underground conduit is configured to direct water away from an eavestrough that is secured to a building. The pop-up drain emitter is secured to an end of the conduit and has a lid. The lid is configured to transition from a retracted position to an advanced position to emit water from the underground conduit. The lid is disposed above ground in at least the advanced position. The turf cover is disposed above and adjacent to the ground and radially about an outer periphery of the pop-up drain emitter. The turf cover is configured to inhibit vegetative growth radially about the outer periphery of the pop-up drain emitter.

A downspout end cover protects and closes a lower end of a cylindrical rain gutter downspout assembly. The cover includes a body that forms a continuous hollow channel for passage of collected rainwater. An aperture at the back of the body is sized to attach to the downspout, and a front cylindrical or oval aperture emits collected rainwater. A door is rotatably attached to the front of the body at a top of the front of the body by a hinge and when closed, prevents entry of animals, insects or blown debris. The front of the body may be sloped and the door may rest against an inset ledge that protects the door and seals the downspout end cover against entry of insects and preventing detachment of the door from the body. The hinge may be offset from the back surface of the door by an arm.
