SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PRODUCING MAGNETICALLY RECEPTIVE LAYERS AND MAGNETIC LAYERS FOR USE IN SURFACE COVERING SYSTEMS
A method for producing a surface covering system comprising magnetically receptive layers affixed to surface covering units and magnetized underlayments for use in securing surface covering units to supporting surfaces. The system includes isotropic magnetized floor covering units and anisotropic magnetized underlays for securing surface covering units. The system includes a set of formulations including ferrites and rare earth materials, oils and plasticizer and binding agents to optimize performance to meet design and application criteria.
MAGNETIC CONSTRUCTION TILE SET
A manipulative construction set comprising a plurality of construction tiles. Each of the tiles can comprise a side forming a tile perimeter, wherein the side includes an inward extending pocket formed therein. Each of the tiles can further comprise a magnet rotatably retained within the pocket, wherein a portion of the magnet retained in the pocket is exposed. The exposed portion of the magnet can rotate between a first polarity and a second polarity such that a magnet of a first tile in the plurality of tiles and a magnet of a second tile in the plurality of tiles are capable of attracting the side of the first tile to the side of the second tile by rotating to generate attracting polarities between the magnet of the first tile and the magnet of the second tile.
ENCLOSURES AND CORRESPONDING MAGNETIC JOINTS
Enclosures and corresponding magnetic joints. An apparatus includes an enclosure. The enclosure includes a magnetic panel joint formed by: a first panel carrying a magnet and comprising a first pocket; a second panel including a second pocket; and a ferromagnetic shield coupled within the second pocket and couplable within the first pocket via the magnet.
MAGNETIC ATTACHMENT ASSEMBLY FOR ATTACHING TRIM BOARD TO WALLS, CEILINGS AND OTHER SURFACE STRUCTURES
A magnetic attachment assembly for attaching a first object to a second object includes a first and second ferromagnetic devices possessing an attractive magnetic property pulling each toward one another. The first ferromagnetic device is attached to the first object and an adhesive layer on the second ferromagnetic device is for attaching the second ferromagnetic device to the second object. A removable separator is initially positioned intermediate the first ferromagnetic device and the second ferromagnetic device and is frictionally held in place prior to attachment of the second ferromagnetic device to the second object. During installation, the user pushes the attachment assembly onto the second object, pulls the first ferromagnetic device away from the second ferromagnetic device, removes the separator, and then pushes the first ferromagnetic device back to the second ferromagnetic device thereby attaching the first object to the second object.
ADJUSTABLE HANGER SYSTEM FOR MODULAR PANELS
A hanger system includes an adjustable panel hanger. The adjustable panel hanger includes a connector member, a base member configured to removably attach to the connector member and to clamp onto a support member, wherein the base member includes a base flange, and a hanger member adjustably affixable on the base flange. Optionally, the hanger system may further include a modular panel connectable to the base member via the hanger member.
Modular panel mount strip
A modular panel mount strip for mounting a panel or piece of art to a wall comprising an elongate body and a magnet. The elongate body includes a magnet housing, a segmentation groove, and at least one interlocking feature. The magnet housing retains the magnet within the elongate body. The segmentation groove is located between a top edge of the elongate body and a bottom edge of the elongate body and can be structured and configured to be broken by human force without breaking other parts of the elongate body. The interlocking feature includes a hinged portion on a first end of the elongate body and/or a locking portion on an opposing end of the elongate body. The locking portion of a first modular panel mount strip can interlock with the hinged portion of a second modular panel mount strip, thereby creating an interlocking mechanism and lengthening the overall device.
BACKSPLASH INSTALLATION HARDWARE
Systems and method for supporting a cover material to a support material include a coupling device that includes an inner coupler and an outer coupler. The inner coupler and the outer coupler are separably joined. The inner coupler may be attached to the support material, and the outer coupler may be attached to the cover material.
Window Shutter System
A window shutter system is provided primarily comprised of a frame, a window shutter cover, and a window shutter base. The frame is primarily comprised of a vertical member and a horizontal member and are oriented in a “H” like fashion. The frame is also comprised of at least one fastener that attaches to a reciprocating fastener located on the window shutter base. The fasteners on the window shutter base are located within the recessed area and allow the window shutter base to be attached to the frame. The window shutter cover is attached to the window shutter base via at least one fastener located on the inside surface of the window shutter cover. The system provides a way for a user to replace old or damaged shutters with minimal effort.
