Lifting and carrying system for maintaining building facades

Lifting devices for residential, public and industrial buildings and structures, and more specifically, lifting and carrying systems for maintaining building facades, having rail or mast-type guides, which are arranged on the external wall of the building and equipped with teeth, and a lifting device with a drive including a motor with a gearbox, and a toothed wheel mounted on the drive shaft of the gearbox to engage with the teeth of the guides so that, when the toothed wheel rotates, the lifting device moves along the guides. The shapes of the guides duplicate that of the building, and they are attached to the building by brackets passing through the building facade and secured to load-bearing structures of the building. The lifting device has a platform, each edge of which is hinged to a frame connecting two carriages each having a system of guiding thrust rollers supported on the guides.

Scaffolding apparatus and related methods are disclosed. An example scaffolding apparatus includes a beam defining a length between a first end of the beam and a second end of the beam opposite the second end. The length of the beam spans between a first side of a fuselage portion of an aircraft and a second side of the fuselage portion opposite the first side. A first connector is coupled to the first end of the beam. The first connector engages a first stringer on the first side of the fuselage portion to couple the first end of the beam to the fuselage portion. A second connector is coupled to the second end of the beam. The second connector engages a second stringer on the second side of the fuselage portion to couple the second end of the beam to the fuselage portion.

A method of constructing a structure in which an item is to be installed at an elevated height on the structure. Hoists are hung from the structure. A platform is moved from ground level and positioned at a first elevated position between ground level and the hoists. The platform is attached to the hoists at the first elevated position. After the platform has been attached to the hoists, the item is moved onto the platform. The item is lifted on the platform to a second elevated position for installation at the elevated height on the structure and the item is installed at the elevated height.

Building assembly system and associated method

A building assembly system for fabricating a multi-story building is described, wherein the building includes a vertical support core arranged on a base. Lift jacks are arranged between a top portion and a bottom portion of the vertical support core, and a reusable bridle is suspended from the plurality of lift jacks and slidably arranged on the vertical support core. A floor plate is assembled onto the bridle at an assembly level that is proximal to the base. The plurality of the lift jacks are operable to lift the bridle and the assembled floor plate to a design elevation on the vertical support core, and are operable to lower the bridle to the assembly level on the vertical support core after the floor plate has been secured to the vertical support core at the design elevation.

Internal ladder assembly for a wind turbine rotor hub

A rotor hub for a wind turbine may generally include a hub body defining both a plurality of blade flanges and a plurality of access ports spaced apart from the blade flanges. In addition, the rotor hub may include a ladder assembly extending within an interior of the hub body. The ladder assembly may include a plurality of platforms, with each platform defining a planar surface and being circumferentially aligned with a respective one of the plurality of access ports. The ladder assembly may also include a connecting frame extending between each pair of adjacent platforms so as to couple the adjacent platforms to one another. The connecting frame may extend lengthwise along a reference line defined between the adjacent platforms. The platforms may be positioned relative to one another such that the reference line extends at a non-perpendicular angle relative to the planar surfaces defined by the adjacent platforms.

The present invention relates to a support frame for use with an edge protection system for elevated structures, such as building rooves. The support frame includes a first frame portion and a second frame portion mounted together so as to be axially slidable relative one another between an extended position for locating a post of the edge protection system alongside a roof edge of a building and a retracted position. The support frame further includes a coupling mount extending from an uppermost frame member for coupling to a portion of the building adjacent the roof edge and for receiving and supporting the post in an upright position alongside the roof edge of the building.
