A shelter system having an erecting frame system and a protective skin system. The erecting frame system has at least two A-frame legs and at least one tensioning element. The A-frame legs each comprise at least one elongated structural member, each of the A-frame legs coalescing with at least one other A-frame leg with at least one connection. The tensioning element is at least temporarily affixed to a free end of each of the at least two A-frame legs, and comprises at least one elongated structural element capable of generating a tension force to draw the free ends of the A-frame legs towards one another, thereby at least temporarily lifting the connection to a predetermined height above the free end of each A-frame leg. A protective skin system is also provided with at least one side plane, one roof plane, and one end plane. The side plane is disposed between two A-frame legs; the roof plane is concordant with the ground surface; and the end plane is disposed between two A-frame legs of a constituent A-frame leg pair and a ground surface. The planar element of the protective skin system provides at least a partial barrier from a ballistic threat to a volume behind the planar element, the loading of the protective skin system being transferred at least in part first to the erecting frame system and ultimately to the ground surface.

The tents include a tent frame and an outer tent fabric. The tent frame forms an assembled tent frame defining a base and is configured to support the outer tent fabric above the base. The outer tent fabric is configured to be supported by the assembled tent frame to surround an inner space that interfaces the base of the assembled tent frame. The tent is assembled when the outer tent fabric is operably supported by the assembled tent frame, and the assembled tent is configured to interconvert between a shelter configuration and a canopy configuration. In the shelter configuration, the base of the assembled tent frame extends along the support surface. In the canopy configuration, the base of the assembled tent frame is inclined relative to the support surface. Tents further include a lift coupler configured to interconnect the assembled tent with a tent-elevating support in the canopy configuration.

The tents include a tent frame and an outer tent fabric. The tent frame forms an assembled tent frame defining a base and is configured to support the outer tent fabric above the base. The outer tent fabric is configured to be supported by the assembled tent frame to surround an inner space that interfaces the base of the assembled tent frame. The tent is assembled when the outer tent fabric is operably supported by the assembled tent frame, and the assembled tent is configured to interconvert between a shelter configuration and a canopy configuration. In the shelter configuration, the base of the assembled tent frame extends along the support surface. In the canopy configuration, the base of the assembled tent frame is inclined relative to the support surface. Tents further include a lift coupler configured to interconnect the assembled tent with a tent-elevating support in the canopy configuration.

A multi-purpose air bed having combined use for a tent is proposed. More particularly, the multi-purpose air bed employs a simple configuration which enables installation thereof to be completed by injecting air thereinto, is small in volume and light which makes it easy to install and move, and is also available to support an air mattress firmly. The multi-purpose air bed includes a pair of support members formed of dual wall fabric and installed vertically, and an air mattress formed of dual wall fabric and installed between the support members to connect the support members.

A multi-purpose air bed having combined use for a tent is proposed. The outdoor shelter includes a plurality of corner support members disposed at respective corners of the outdoor shelter, the plurality of corner support members comprising a first corner support member, a second corner support member, a third corner support member, and a fourth corner support member; a plurality of peripheral beam members, a first one of the plurality of peripheral beam members configured to extend in a longitudinal direction between the first and third corner support members, and a second one of the plurality of peripheral beam members configured to extend in a transverse direction between the first and second corner support members; and a shade member disposed above at least one of the first and second ones of the plurality of peripheral beam members.

An outdoor shelter and a rail system for the outdoor shelter are disclosed herein.
