A hatch lock cover includes inner and outer flanges, with a keeper and a handle positioned between the flanges. The handle is rotatable with respect to the flanges to move a batten bar contacting surface into and out of engagement with a batten bar or a hatch cover tab of a hatch cover. A downwardly extending portion of an arm of the keeper may define an aperture and/or include a projection for securing an adjustment plate or extension piece to the arm to provide an alternative batten bar contacting surface. Alternatively, a mounting bracket may be provided to secure the hatch cover lock to a railcar, with the mounting bracket accommodating the hatch cover lock in different positions having different elevations. Such configurations allow the hatch cover lock to be adjusted for use with a batten bar or hatch cover tab having a gasket that has become worn out.

A lock system includes an active panel center gearbox. The active panel center gearbox includes a deadbolt, a deadbolt drive to extend or retract the deadbolt, an upper drive assembly, a lower drive assembly, a latch bolt, a handle assembly to retract the latch bolt and to extend or retract the lower and the upper driver assemblies, a reverse action rocker coupling the lower and the upper drive assemblies so they move in different directions, a mishandling bolt, and a mishandling plate. When the mishandling bolt extends, it lowers the mishandling plate. When the mishandling plate lowers, it engages the deadbolt to prevent the deadbolt from extending, it engages the handle assembly to prevent the lower drive assembly from extending, and it engages the reverse action rocker to prevent the upper drive assembly from extending.

Door handle lock and locking method
11634933 · 2023-04-25 ·

A door handle lock and a locking method are provided. The door handle lock comprises a first lock body, a second lock body, and a locking part, and the locking part is engaged with a movable part to lock the first lock body, thus being difficult to unlock. The door handle lock is mounted within a rotation range of the door handle, and the rotation of the door handle is limited by the first lock body. Such a setting effectively prevents a child from unlocking without permission and then opening the door to escape, thus improving the security.

ANIMAL CAGE LOCK

An exemplary apparatus includes a housing, a lock mechanism mounted to the housing, an electromechanical driver, a first override mechanism, and a second override mechanism. The electromechanical driver is mounted to the housing and is operable to unlock the lock mechanism. The first override mechanism is movably mounted to the housing and is operable to unlock the lock mechanism. The second override mechanism is movably mounted to the housing and is operable to unlock the lock mechanism. The apparatus has a first configuration in which a lock cylinder is engaged with the first override mechanism such that actuation of the lock cylinder unlocks the lock mechanism. The apparatus has a second configuration in which the lock cylinder is engaged with the second override mechanism such that actuation of the lock cylinder unlocks the lock mechanism.

Device for securing deadbolt latch
11624203 · 2023-04-11 ·

Here is provided a device for securing a standard deadbolt lock in a locked orientation so that the deadbolt lock cannot be unlocked by an intruder. The device disclosed includes an elongated member pivotally coupled to a base member by a pivotal joint. The base member is securely mounted to a housing of the deadbolt lock and the protruding member has an elongated groove dimensioned and configured to receive the latch of the deadbolt lock and secure it within the groove such that the latch cannot be rotated to unlock the deadbolt lock. The protruding member is pivotally movable between a closed position wherein the latch is contained within the groove and an extended position wherein the protruding member is positioned away from the latch.

LATCHING HANDLE ASSEMBLY DOOR GUARD
