Electromechanical compression latch and latching system
Latch assemblies and systems are disclosed. One latch includes a latch and a receiver. The latch has a housing and a pin extending from the housing. The pin is mounted for longitudinal movement along a pin axis. The latch further includes a motor coupled to move the pin longitudinally. The receiver defines an aperture extending along a receiver axis and positioned to receive the pin of the latch. The receiver has a retainer biased toward the receiver axis. The latch assembly has an open position in which the pin is extended distally along the pin axis and received in the aperture, and a latched position in which the pin is retracted proximally along the pin axis while the retainer is engaged with the pin. One latch system includes a plurality of latch assemblies configured to move to the latched position after all latch assemblies are in the open position.
Sliding Door Unit and Components for the Same
A sliding door unit has a mounting frame and an active door panel mounted in and capable of sliding relative to the mounting frame. The active door panel has a face including a panel portion and a glazing portion. The glazing portion comprises less than 65% of a surface area of the face.
Straight action flush lock for casement window and method of operating the same
A low profile actuating window lock for casement windows having a longitudinal slot in a sidewall of the casing for the lock, wherein an actuator including a fork component translates within the slot in a direction opposite movement of the handle, the handle pivotable about a restrictor arm that pivots relative to the casing, allowing the handle to rotate from the locked position to the unlocked position with low clearance from the window frame. The pivot points of the handle and restrictor arm configuration allow for an over center linkage that prevents back driving the casement window lock.

APPARATUS, METHOD, AND ASSEMBLY FOR ATTENUATING VIBRATIONS BETWEEN A LATCH AND A STRIKER
A vibration-reducing apparatus for an assembly comprising a first member including a latch and a second member including a striker may include a threaded post having arm members extending outwardly therefrom, the threaded post being rotatably advanceable in discrete increments in a threaded opening extending through the first member such that, in a closed position of the first and second members, a distal portion of the threaded post extending through the first member contacts the second member upon rotational advancement of the threaded post in the threaded opening; and a locking region arranged to interact with at least a portion of the arm members, the rotational advancement of the threaded post in the threaded opening and contact with the second member reducing an engagement distance between the latch and the striker with the first and second members in the closed position, and attenuating vibrations between the latch and the striker.
Domestic electrical appliance, in particular a dishwashing machine
A domestic electrical appliance, in particular a dishwashing machine, includes a main appliance body having a product treatment chamber, a door mounted on the main appliance body so as to be pivotable about a horizontal pivot axis close to the floor for closing an access opening to the product treatment chamber and a locking device having a locking assembly arranged on the main appliance body and a closing pin arranged on the door. The locking assembly has a latch movable between a release position and a latching position where the latch engages behind the closing pin to hold the door closed and releases the closing pin to open the door. The latch performs a rotational movement along a horizontal plane as it moves between the release position and the latching position, the closing pin being oriented vertically when the door is closed.
Motor vehicle door anti-rattle mechanism
A motor vehicle door anti-rattle mechanism includes male and female parts. The male part is fastened to a door of a motor vehicle and the female part is fastened to a door pillar of the motor vehicle. The male part includes an expandable member that is selectively engageable with a recess in the female part in order to inhibit relative movement between the male and female parts and, hence, rattling of the door.
Door handle device
Provided is a door handle device which can prevent rattling of a handle grip using an existing base member. A door handle device includes: a base member having a first shaft portion or a first bearing portion formed on one end side thereof, and having a guide hole which has a restricting portion projecting into an inner space formed on the other end side thereof; a handle grip having a second bearing portion which rotatably supports the first shaft portion or a second shaft portion which is rotatably supported by the first bearing portion on one end side thereof, and having an inserting portion advanceable into and retractable from the guide hole formed on the other end side thereof; and a slide guide having a slide contact portion which is brought into slide contact with the restricting portion.
