A latch includes a housing that has a first side and a second side. The latch includes a bolt locking assembly that is positioned at least partially within the housing. The bolt locking assembly includes a bolt movable between first and second positions relative to at least one of the first and second sides of the housing. The bolt is positionable to selectively extend from either the first side or the second of the housing. The latch includes a first handing configuration and a second handing configuration, where the first handing configuration corresponds to the first position and the second handing configuration corresponds to the second position. Changing between the first handing configuration and the second handing configuration requires moving the bolt locking assembly to a disengaged position and applying the external force to the bolt to move the bolt between the first and second positions.

Dual actuated latch mechanism for a vehicle

A vehicle hood latching mechanism, having a latch member pivotally connected to a housing defining a striker channel. The latch member includes a primary catch portion between the intersection of a first lever arm and a second lever arm, a secondary catch portion on the first lever arm facing the primary catch portion, and a latch cam surface on the second lever arm proximal to the primary catch portion. The latch cam surface is configured such that a force applied onto the latch cam surface causes the latch member to pivot to a first position. A cancel lever is pivotally mounted to an end of the second lever arm of the latch member and includes an exterior cam surface configured such that a force applied onto the exterior cam surface induces a moment M onto the second lever arm causing the latch member to rotate into the first position.

Aircraft lavatory door latch

A door latch assembly configured to be used in an aircraft lavatory door. The door latch assembly includes a housing that includes a housing interior, a switch member operatively associated with the housing that is rotatable between a first position and a second position, and a locking bolt that is movable linearly between an unlocked position and a locked position. Rotation of the switch member from the first position to the second position moves the locking bolt from the unlocked position to the locked position.

A vehicle hood latching mechanism is disclosed. The latching mechanism includes a housing securable to the vehicle body, a latch member pivotally connected to the first side of the housing, the latch member includes an external surface defining an abutment surface, a fork bolt adjustably connected to the second side of the housing and movable between a fully latched position, and an actuator assembly pivotally connected to the second side of the housing. The actuator assembly includes a first lever configured to selectively abut against the engagement surface of the fork bolt and a second lever configured to selectively engage the abutment surface of the latch member. The first lever is pivotally connected proximal to a first end of the mounting plate and the second lever is pivotally connected proximal to a second end of the mounting plate.

Rotary lock actuator

A rotary lock actuator for manual or powered actuation of a lock for vehicle doors is disclosed. The actuator has a motorized drive train and an actuating member movable between first and second positions. A manual drive member and a powered drive member each have first and second drive surfaces spaced apart from one another. A drive wedge is disposed in the spaces between the first and second drive surfaces of each drive member such that the drive wedge is engageable with the actuating member. The first driving surface of each drive member engages the wedge for moving the actuating member from a first position toward a second position upon movement of one of the drive members. The drive wedge is engageable by the second driving surface of each drive member for moving the actuating member from a second position toward the first position upon movement a drive member.

MOTOR VEHICLE LOCK

A motor vehicle lock including a catch, a pawl, and a drivetrain arrangement with a drive element. When the catch is in the secondary closed position, the pawl is moveable from the engaged state the released state to release the catch. The drive element may be configured to move in a predefined drive direction. The motor vehicle lock may include a first coupling element, provided with a first coupling surface and a second coupling element, provided with a second coupling surface. During the cinching sequence, the first coupling surface and the second coupling surface may be engaged with one another to move the catch. During the release sequence the drive element is moved in the predefined drive direction such that the first coupling surface and the second coupling surface are disengaged from one another.

Domestic electrical appliance, in particular a dishwashing machine

A domestic electrical appliance, in particular a dishwashing machine, includes a main appliance body having a product treatment chamber, a door mounted on the main appliance body so as to be pivotable about a horizontal pivot axis close to the floor for closing an access opening to the product treatment chamber and a locking device having a locking assembly arranged on the main appliance body and a closing pin arranged on the door. The locking assembly has a latch movable between a release position and a latching position where the latch engages behind the closing pin to hold the door closed and releases the closing pin to open the door. The latch performs a rotational movement along a horizontal plane as it moves between the release position and the latching position, the closing pin being oriented vertically when the door is closed.

Damped closure assembly for a microwave oven

A damped closure assembly for a microwave oven includes a catch element mounted to a cabinet of the microwave oven. A striker defined on a door of the microwave oven engages the catch element which is rotatable between an open position and a closed position. A spring mechanism and a damping element are operably coupled to the catch element to slowly urge the catch element and the door toward the closed position to prevent slamming, loud noises, and potential wear on one or more components of the microwave oven when the door is closed.
