Electric latch retraction bar

An electric latch retraction device comprising a housing for receiving a plurality of internal components of the electric latch retraction device. An actuator mechanism is included in the housing, the actuator mechanism is adapted to impart linear movement on a latch, such that the latch is retracted towards the housing. A holding mechanism is also included in the housing, the holding mechanism holds the latch in a fully retracted position.

ELECTRIFIED EXIT DEVICE

A latch dogging assembly comprises an electromagnet and an actuator mounted on a bracket. A guide slide is pivotally mounted on the bracket with a lead block coupled to the guide slide. A guide pin rides along an inner surface of the bracket causing the guide slide to pivot. A pawl is slidably engaged with the guide slide. A guide link includes a post. An armature is mounted to the panic bar and the post engages the pawl. When the actuator is energized to move the lead block, the pawl engages the post to pivot the armature and thereby cause the panic bar to move from the extended position to the depressed position. When the electromagnet is energized the armature is magnetically held preventing reverse pivoting of the guide link. A method for fully retracting a door latch is also provided.

PANIC EXIT DEVICE AND DOOR HANDLE

An exit device comprises an inner door handle adapted to be mounted to a door for movement relative to the door from a first position to a second position. A pair of brackets are adapted to be operatively connected between the respective ends of a horizontal portion and a vertical portion of the door handle. Each bracket comprises a first bracket member secured to the door handle, a second bracket member adapted to be secured to the door, and a pin for joining the first bracket member and the second bracket member for rotation about an axis through the pin. The first bracket member and the second bracket member pivot relative to one another when the door handle moves between the first position and the second position.

EXIT DEVICE

Embodiments described herein relate to an exit device having a construction that facilitates visual inspection of the state of the exit device. Embodiments of the exit device include a visual indicator as to the state (dogged or undogged) of the exit device.

RIM STRIKE ASSEMBLY AND METHODS OF USE

A rim strike assembly includes a strike body, strike jaw, retaining clutch, locking cam, locking clutch, and a solenoid. The strike jaw, retaining clutch, locking cam, and locking clutch are pivotably coupled to the strike body. The strike body and strike jaw define a latch cavity to receive a latch of a door. The strike jaw includes a jaw follower. The strike jaw is pivotable between a release position and a closed position. The retaining clutch engages the jaw follower and includes a retaining follower. The locking cam includes a retaining notch and a locking notch. The retaining follower engages the retaining notch. The locking clutch includes a locking follower that engages the locking notch of the locking cam. The solenoid includes a plunger coupled to the locking clutch such that movement of the plunger rotates the locking clutch from a locked position to an unlocked position.

Exit device dogging operator

An exit device for a door includes an elongate housing, a latch, a touch bar assembly, a panel, and a dogging assembly. The elongate housing is configured to be mounted to the door. The touch bar assembly is attached to the elongate housing. The touch bar assembly includes a touch bar that is movable relative to the elongate housing and has a linkage that operably connects the touch bar to the latch. The panel is connected to the elongate housing. The dogging assembly has a combination lock dogging operator and a dogging mechanism. The dogging mechanism is rotatably coupled to the elongate housing. The combination lock dogging operator is mounted to the panel, and is drivably engaged with the dogging mechanism.

Air tight door

The present disclosure relates to an air tight door including a frame having three frame members disposed, respectively, at a first lateral side, a second lateral side, and an upper side of an opening; and a longitudinal member disposed at a lower side of the opening. The door is rotatably connected to the frame member disposed at the first lateral side of the opening so as to open and/or close the opening. A first sealing disposed at each of the three frame members closely contacts the door in a closed state; and a second sealing elevatably disposed at a lower end of the door descends from the lower end of the door to closely contact the longitudinal member in the closed state. A locking device fixes a position of the door in the closed state; and an actuating device is configured to unlock the locking device.

Dampening Mechanism for Touch Bar Exit Device

An embodiment is directed to a touch bar exit device for use on an exit door. The touch bar exit device include a touch bar and a link bar which moves as the touch bar is depressed. A return mechanism is mounted on the link bar. A damper mechanism is mounted on the link bar. The damper mechanism limits the travel of the link bar and the touch bar to dampen the sound of the touch bar exit device when the touch bar is depressed.

Quiet latch for a locking device

A locking device for a door located at a door frame having a door strike. The locking device includes an actuator having a neutral position and a displaced position, and a latchbolt assembly having an extended position configured to engage the door strike, and a retracted position configured to move past the door strike. The latchbolt assembly includes a latchbolt link configured to move the latchbolt in response to movement of the actuator. A first dampening device is disposed adjacent to the latchbolt link, with the dampening device resiliently engaging the latchbolt link as the latchbolt link moves from the retracted position to the extended position. The first dampening device limits movement of the latchbolt link. A second dampening device is configured to restrain movement of the latchbolt during movement from the retracted position to the extended position.

EXIT DEVICE WITH INDICATOR

A door exit device may include a light source for indicating a status of the exit device. The light source may be capable of providing a first indication denoting that the exit device is in a first state (e.g., a dogged state) and a second indication denoting that the exit device is in a second state (e.g., an undogged state). Further, the exit device may include first and second parallel control systems capable of electronically controlling that status of the exit device. In some instances, a first parallel control system may supersede a second parallel control system.
