LOCK ASSEMBLY FOR A VEHICLE LOAD COMPARTMENT
A lock assembly is intended to improve the security of a roller shutter door or tailgate door, especially on a vehicle used to make frequent deliveries and collections. The lock assembly provides a bolt (15) mounted in an enveloping housing (1) to be displaced solely by the action of a key placed in a lock (14) and rotated. Rotation displaces the bolt (15) between an extended condition where the bolt can engage in a staple (10) so locking the door closed, and a retracted condition where the door can be opened.
LOCKING MECHANISM FOR SLIDEABLE VEHICLE DOORS
An assembly for a vehicle includes a first door and a second door movable from an open position to a closed position. The assembly includes a first anchor supported by the first pillar movable along an axis to an engaged position. The assembly includes a first rod supported by the first door movable along an axis to an engaged position. The assembly includes a second rod supported by the second door movable along the axis to an engaged position. The first anchor is lockingly engaged with the first rod when first anchor is in the engaged position. The first rod is lockingly engaged with the second rod when the first rod is in the engaged position and the first anchor is in the engaged position.

LATCHING MECHANISM
A latching mechanism system, method and apparatus is disclosed. The latching mechanism including a latch mechanism shaft and a rotatable outer actuator knob. The outer actuator knob including at least one outer actuator knob engagement surface. The at least one outer actuator knob engagement surface having a shape corresponding to a lock body engagement surface of a removable lock. The outer actuator knob can be mounted on the latch mechanism shaft, proximate to a first end of the latch mechanism shaft. The outer actuator knob being capable of rotating the latch mechanism shaft. The removable lock is capable of being secured in a locked position with the lock body engagement surface proximate to the least one outer actuator knob engagement surface.

Multi-point latching system
A latching system for securing a door to a panel includes a pawl having a first end that is configured to releasably engage a striker on the panel, and a second end opposite the first end having a connector. A pawl connector is connected to the connector on the second end of the pawl. The pawl connector includes a hollow cylindrical body having a longitudinal axis, a revolved outer side wall extending about the longitudinal axis, an open end through which the connector of the pawl is positioned, an opening defined on the revolved side wall of the cylindrical body, and a deformable portion formed on the revolved outer side wall. The deformable portion extends between the open end and the opening. The deformable portion is configured to elastically deform upon inserting the connector through the open end until the connector is non-removably seated within the opening.
