A vehicle is provided that includes a cabin interior, a seat configured to hold a passenger, a window having a movable panel actuatable between open and closed positions, and an actuator to power the window between the open and closed positions. The vehicle also includes an imaging device located in the cabin interior and oriented to capture images of a passenger seated on the seat and at least a portion of the movable panel of the window, and a controller processing the images to determine one or more characteristics of a face of the passenger. The controller further processes the images to monitor a position of the movable panel.

A multi-part frame (10) for a sliding roof of a vehicle or a tilt-and-slide roof of a vehicle for guiding and holding a movable cover element allocated to a corresponding roof opening is specified, with a support component (12) formed as a plastic injection-moulded part, in which open cable channels (24) are moulded, in order to guide drive cables for moving the cover element, which are in drive engagement with a drive device, displaceably in a compression-resistant manner, wherein the cable channels (24) are configured such that they can be closed by at least one cover (14) likewise formed as a plastic injection-moulded part and fastenable to the support component (12), and wherein the fastening of the cover (14) to the support component (12) is configured such that an installation direction during fastening of the cover (14) to the support component (12) runs in the horizontal direction. Furthermore, a method for installing a multi-part frame (10) is specified.
Open roof assembly for use in a vehicle and a method for operating same
An open roof assembly for use in a vehicle roof of a vehicle comprises a moveably arranged closure member for selectively covering or at least partially exposing an opening in the vehicle roof, an electric motor operatively coupled to the closure member through a mechanical drive assembly for moving the closure member, an electric driving unit for providing a supply signal to the electric motor and a control unit operatively coupled to the electric driving unit for controlling operation of the electric motor. The electric driving unit comprises four switching devices in a bridged configuration and the control unit is configured to control a motion of the closure member by controlling operation of the switching devices, and to incur a safety stop during a motion of the closure member by an immediate reversal of a polarity of the supply signal.
Sunroof device
In a sunroof device, each support member and each driving shoe include a pressing portion and an elastic body, respectively, that, when the driving shoe moves from a first position toward a second position, come close to each other and, when the driving shoe is positioned between the second position and a third position, come into contact with each other. When the driving shoe is positioned between the second position and the third position, the pressing portion presses the elastic body in a direction perpendicular to a width direction. A length in the width direction of the elastic body is longer than the pressing portion.

A method includes predicting an environmental condition at a location to which a vehicle is travelling, the environmental condition including at least one of water, dust, and pollution, determining that an object within the vehicle is at a distance greater than a threshold distance from an unobstructed window of the vehicle, and then actuating the unobstructed window to a closed position based on the environmental condition and the object being at the distance from the window greater than the threshold distance.
VEHICLE ROOF COMPRISING A ROOF OPENING SYSTEM HAVING TWO KINEMATICS UNITS
A vehicle roof has a roof opening system comprising a lid element displaceable between a closed and open position displacement kinematics for displacing the lid, each of the displacement kinematics comprising a guide rail, a first and second kinematic unit guided in a guide rail, and a set of drive cables for the kinematic units, the second kinematic unit comprising a tilting lever, to which a gliding element is pivotably connected on which a guide track of a lid carrier of the lid element is guided when the lid element is displaced. The first kinematic unit is driven via a first drive cable by a first drive motor and the second kinematic unit has a control rod which is hinged to the tilting lever and to a drive slide which is driven via a second drive cable by a second drive motor.

An open-roof assembly is configured for covering or at least partly uncovering an opening in a vehicle roof. The open-roof assembly comprises a frame defining the opening, a moveably arranged closure member and a pressure-sensitive sensor device. The open-roof assembly comprises a closed state, in which the closure member covers the opening in the vehicle roof, and an open state, in which the closure member uncovers the roof opening at least partly. The pressure-sensitive sensor device is arranged between the closure member and the frame for detecting presence of an object between the closure member and the frame, at least when the closure member is moving from the open state towards the closed state. The pressure-sensitive sensor device extends over a device length and is configured to detect a location of a local pressure, which local pressure is exerted locally on the pressure-sensitive sensor device, along the device length.

A controller for controlling a motor of a closure and/or blind in a vehicle body is configured to determine a reference state signal comprising speed and/or current measurements, repeatedly estimate motor model parameters of the motor, determine an estimated state signal based on an input signal comprising measurements or estimates of a voltage, the estimated motor model parameters, the reference state signal and an error signal, the error signal representing a difference between the reference state signal and the estimated state signal, determine a disturbance observer signal from the error signal, compute a first derivative of the disturbance observer signal at a present moment, and reverse the motor upon determining that the first derivative of the disturbance observer signal exceeds a threshold.
Method and device for accurate positioning of a moveably arranged panel
A method for positioning a movably arranged panel comprises the steps of determining a panel braking distance based on a physical property of the moveable panel and a physical property of at least one of a drive assembly and a drive motor. The panel braking distance corresponds to a distance covered by the moveable panel in a period of time starting from a decision to switch off the drive motor until stand-still of the moveable panel. The drive motor is switched off when an expected stop position is within a predetermined range around a desired stop position.
