DOOR OPENING/CLOSING APPARATUS AND HINGE
A door opening/closing apparatus is provided which can expand storage space in a main body. A door opening/closing apparatus includes at least two hinges, and a connecting bar that is connected to the at least two hinges. Each hinge includes a main body-side member, a door-side member, a main arm, a first link, and a second link, and causes a door to move parallel to itself between a closed position and an open position. The main arm includes a bent portion. The connecting bar is mounted on a door side of the main arm. A center of the connecting bar in a width direction thereof is placed on a second shaft side relative to a center between a first shaft and the second shaft of the main arm in a front view of the door in a state where the door is in the closed position.
Hinge stile gap blocking apparatus
This invention relates to a hinge stile gap blocking apparatus and to a method designed to prevent hand and finger injuries resulting from inadvertent door closures. The apparatus includes a pair of joined elongate members, each elongate member is joined to the other by an elastic band which extends through the opening of a door frame hinge stile gap with each joined elongate member residing on opposite sides of the hinge stile gap. The elongate members move when the door is pivoted, but are sufficiently tensioned against the hinge stile such that hands and fingers cannot be placed in the hinge stile gap when the door is open.
Security door system
A security door system includes a door frame, a door, and an astragal. The door frame has first and second vertically extending side members that define an opening therebetween. The door is disposed within the opening and is secured to the frame via a hinged connection along the first vertically extending side member. A gap is defined between an edge of the door, that is opposite the hinged connection, and the second vertically extending side member when the door is in a closed position. The astragal has first and second plates that are secured to an outer surface of the door. The first plate extends beyond the edge such that the first plate covers the gap when the door is in the closed position. The second plate extends from the first plate in a direction away from the edge and toward the hinged connection.

Safety system for automatic door
A safety system for an automatic door including an ultrasonic sensor installed in a rotary frame to detect motion of the rotary frame in order to stop operation of an automatic door in order to prevent injury from the door.

Process for Manufacturing an Interlocking Molding with Sightline Elimination Flange for Toilet and Other Partitions
A method for manufacturing an apparatus, such as a flanged interlocking molding for use in partitions such as restroom partitions is provided. The method comprises providing an elongated strip of a metallic material having a flat profile to a device comprising a roll former comprising a plurality of dies in series, each of the plurality of dies being configured to modify a profile of the elongated strip; and modifying the profile of the elongated strip from the flat profile to a profile comprising a plurality of profile segments separated by bends in the metallic material, by passing the elongated strip through the plurality of dies sequentially to define the profile. The profile segments include segments corresponding to a first arm, a body portion, a first flange layer, a second flange layer, a second arm of the apparatus.

Ligature Resistant Swinging Door System
A swinging door assembly includes a frame mount, a door panel, and a pivot assembly operably connecting the door panel to the frame mount such that the door panel is pivotable in two opposite directions from a closed position to first and second opened positions. When the door panel is pivoted in the first direction by an angle less than a threshold angle, or is pivoted in the second direction by an angle less than the threshold angle, the door panel is biased toward the closed position by virtue of a weight of the door panel, and when the door panel is pivoted in the first direction by an angle greater than or equal to the threshold angle, or is pivoted in the second direction by an angle greater than or equal to the threshold angle, the door panel is no longer biased toward the closed position.
