A system and method for rheology measurement of a drilling fluid. The system may comprise an ultrasound transmitter positioned to direct ultrasound pulses into the drilling fluid; an ultrasound receiver positioned to receive sound waves reflected from the drilling fluid; and a computer system configured to determine a velocity profile of the drilling fluid based at least in part on the reflected sound waves. The method may comprise flowing at least a portion of the drilling fluid through a rheology measurement system; directing ultrasound pulses into the drilling fluid while the drilling fluid is flowing through the rheology measurement system; measuring sound waves reflected by the drilling fluid; and determining a velocity profile of the drilling fluid based at least on the measured sound waves.

The flow inlet is configured to couple to a first piece of piping and the flow outlet is configured to couple to a second piece of piping. The liquid mixture nozzle also includes a converging section having a decreasing diameter positioned adjacent the flow inlet, an orifice positioned at a narrow end of the converging section, an intermediate section having a constant diameter positioned adjacent the orifice, a diverging section having an increasing diameter positioned adjacent the intermediate section and the flow outlet.

The feeder system may be configured to transport product from the hopper to the pickup funnel. The eductor assembly including a suction inlet, a motive inlet, and an outlet. The portable mud measurement system has or more measurement devices arranged to measure at least one property and/or characteristic of drilling mud; and a pumping system arranged to pump a batch sample of drilling mud from a supply of drilling mud to the one or more measurement devices. The pumping system is also able to subsequently flush the batch sample of drilling mud from the one or more measurement devices. The communications system enables bidirectional communications between the mud management system and a remote location to enable transfer of data therebetween and the exertion of control from the remote location to the mud management system.

A method of detecting an amine-based additive in a wellbore servicing fluid (WSF) comprising contacting an aliquot of WSF with an amine detector compound and an aqueous salt solution to form a detection solution; wherein the aqueous salt solution comprises an inorganic salt and organic carboxylate salt; wherein the WSF comprises the amine-based additive; and wherein the detection solution is characterized by at least one absorption peak wavelength in the range of 380-760 nm; detecting an absorption intensity for detection solution at a wavelength within about ±20% of the at least one absorption peak wavelength; comparing the absorption intensity of detection solution at the wavelength within about ±20% of the at least one absorption peak wavelength with a target absorption intensity of amine-based additive to determine the amount of amine-based additive in WSF; and comparing the amount of amine-based additive in WSF with a target amount of amine-based additive.

Embodiments of systems and methods for generating power in the vicinity of a drilling rig are disclosed. During a drilling operation, heat generated by drilling fluid flowing from a borehole, exhaust from an engine, and/or fluid from an engine's water (or other fluid) jacket, for example, may be utilized by corresponding heat exchangers to facilitate heat transfer to a working fluid. The heated working fluid may cause an ORC unit to generate electrical power.
