SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR UNDERGROUND PIPE INSTALLATION AND SOIL CLEARING
Systems and methods for installing pipe underground are disclosed. The system includes a pneumatic rammer configured to provide a percussive force to a section of pipe. The system also includes a main jacking frame coupled to the pneumatic rammer, the main jacking frame including a surface for contacting the section of pipe. The system also includes one or more hydraulic jacks coupled to the main jacking frame and configured to provide a hydraulic force to the section of pipe. The system also includes a set of tracks coupled to the main jacking frame, the set of tracks permitting the main jacking frame to slide in a longitudinal direction. An independently displaceable soil-clearing system can be included to clear dirt coming inside the pipe during the installation and add extra jacking force as needed.
Directional drilling systems, apparatuses, and methods
A boring apparatus for coupling to a drill rod and drilling a borehole includes a boring tool head configured to couple to the drill rod and receive drilling fluid. The boring tool head has an exterior surface with a hole and defines an internal cavity. The hole is configured to receive ground spoils such that the ground spoils are conveyed into the internal cavity, and the drilling fluid dispenses into the cavity such that the drilling fluid mixes with the ground spoils to form a drilling slurry. A housing is coupled to the boring tool head and has a chamber in fluid communication with the cavity. A pump in the chamber is configured to pump the drilling slurry out of the cavity and the chamber.
Downhole force generating tool
The disclosure of this application is directed to a downhole tool comprising a central element/member and a sleeve that is rotatably and orbitally disposed around the central element/member. The sleeve rotates and orbits around the central element/member responsive to fluid flowing through the downhole too. The disclosure is also related to a method of advancing the downhole tool in a well by flowing fluid through the tool.

Material exhaust connection for horizontal bore
An earth boring apparatus may include an earth-boring cutter head, and a casing secured to the cutter head and extending rearwardly therefrom so that the casing and cutter head are rotatable together as a unit. A casing cuttings passage may extend from adjacent the casing front end to adjacent the casing back end. An entrance opening of the casing cuttings passage, which is adjacent the cutter head, is adapted to allow cuttings to move through the entrance opening into the casing cuttings passage. In some implementations there may be a stationary auger positioned within the casing cuttings passage rearwardly from the entrance opening, such that the stationary auger does not rotate when the casing and cutter head are rotated together as a unit.
Retractable auger head
A retractable auger boring cutter head. The cutter head has fixed cutters and at least one pivoting cutter. The pivoting cutter is biased to a position that extends beyond a diameter of a casing being installed. When pulled back through the casing, a surface of the pivoting cutter contacts the casing, reducing the effective diameter of the cutter head and allowing it to be removed.
