SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR NON-CONTACT BORING
Disclosed are systems and methods to bore or tunnel through various geologies in an autonomous or substantially autonomous manner including one or more non-contact boring elements that direct energy at the bore face to remove material from the bore face through fracture, spallation, and removal of the material. Systems can automatically execute methods to control a set of boring parameters that affect the flux of energy directed at the bore face. Systems can further automatically execute the methods to: monitor, direct, maintain, and/or adjust a set of boring controls, including for example a standoff distance between the system and the bore face, a temperature of exhaust gases directed at the bore face, a removal rate of material from the bore face, and/or a thermal or topological characterization of the bore face during boring operations.
DEVICE FOR THE INSTALLATION OF ROCK BOLTS AND CUTTING APPARATUS
A device for the installation of rock bolts includes a supporting structure and first and second bolting units mounted to the supporting structure. Each bolting unit is configured for drilling an installation hole and/or for installing a rock bolt into a rock face, wherein the supporting structure is configured for rotatably moving the first and second bolting units about a common axis of rotation. At least one actuator is mounted to the supporting structure and configured for additionally moving at least one of the first and second bolting units.
MACHINE SUPPORTING ROCK CUTTING DEVICE
A machine for excavating rock includes a frame, a cutting device, and a boom. The cutting device includes a cutting disc having a cutting edge, and the cutting disc is rotatable about a cutting device axis. The boom supports the cutting device and includes a first end, a second end, and a boom axis substantially parallel to the cutting device axis. The boom further includes a first portion and a second portion. The first portion is coupled to the frame for rotation about a first pivot axis between a raised position and a lowered position. The second portion is coupled to the cutting device, and the second portion is pivotable about a second pivot axis between a raised position and a lowered position.
SPROCKET WHEEL AND DRIVE SPROCKET FOR TRACK-TYPE MACHINE
A sprocket wheel for a track-type machine may include a base portion having a rotational axis about which the sprocket wheel rotates, and a plurality of teeth extending radially outward from the base portion. The teeth may include a tip, a first side wall extending radially inward from the tip toward the base portion, and a first transition portion extending from the first side wall. The sprocket wheel may also include a first flat extending from the first transition portion toward a second flat of a circumferentially adjacent tooth. The first and second flats may form an apex. The sprocket wheel may further include a relief surface extending radially inward from the apex, with the relief surface defining a concave surface having a longitudinal axis transverse with respect to a radial plane perpendicular to the rotational axis of the sprocket wheel.

The control and processing unit 20 has a memory 20A which stores at least one predetermined drive parameter which is assigned to the operating mode, and/or at least one predetermined work parameter which is assigned to the operating mode, for each operating mode of the plurality of operating modes. The control and processing unit 20 is configured such that at least one assembly 4, 5; 8, 10, 11, 12, 13, 17, 18, 19 of the drive means and working means is controlled subject to the at least one drive parameter or work parameter which is stored in the memory 20A for the operating mode selected using the selection unit 15C, such that the particular machine function is carried out. The milling machine further provides that at least one function which describes the dependence of a work parameter of one assembly on a drive parameter of another assembly is stored for each operating mode, the control and processing unit 20 being configured such that, based on this function, at least one assembly of the working means or drive means is controlled such that the particular machine function is carried out.

A self-propelled construction machine comprises a machine frame, at least three travelling devices, at least one hydraulic drive system for driving at least two travelling devices, wherein the hydraulic drive system comprises at least one controllable hydraulic motor with variable displacement volume and at least one hydraulic pump, at least one working device (e.g. a milling drum), for working the ground pavement. A detection device detects fluctuations in the longitudinal speed of the construction machine during movement thereof, wherein a control unit alters the displacement volume of the at least one controllable hydraulic motor as a function of the detected fluctuations so that the natural frequency of the hydraulic drive system is altered, wherein the control unit adjusts the discharge volume of the pump as a function of the amount of adjustment of the displacement volume in such a fashion that the specified drive speed remains constant.
