Sealing in helical trochoidal rotary machines

Sealing in rotary positive displacement machines based on trochoidal geometry that comprise a helical rotor that undergoes planetary motion within a helical stator is described. Seals can be mounted on the rotor, the stator, or both. The rotor can have a hypotrochoidal cross-section, with the corresponding stator cavity profile being the outer envelope of the rotor as it undergoes planetary motion, or the stator cavity can have an epitrochoidal cross-section with the corresponding rotor profile being the inner envelope of the trochoid as it undergoes planetary motion. In some embodiments, the geometry is offset in a manner that provides advantages with respect to sealing in the rotary machine. In multi-stage embodiments, the rotor-stator geometry remains substantially constant or varies along the axis of the rotary machine.

Eccentric screw pump

An eccentric screw pump for pumping fluids or flowing conveying media from a suction side to a pressure side, which includes a rotor and a stator, the stator being flexible and is connected to the pump housing on one side, in particular on the suction side. The rotor is connected to the drive shaft by means of an articulation. When the eccentric screw pump is in the idle state, there is no sealing contact at least in areas between the rotor and the stator in the sealing areas. When the eccentric screw pump is in the operating state, the stator is surrounded, at least in sections and/or, essentially, on the periphery by the conveying medium. The rotor and the stator are brought into contact with each other in the operating state along the sealing area.

Rotary motor with geared transmission for use of compressible media drive

A rotary motor with a geared transmission which contains a stator which is procured with triangular cavities which are procured with rounded peaks from which into each is led in at least one canal for entry and exit of compressible medium where in each cavity is embedded a rotary piston with an elliptical crosscut in the way that its lengthwise axis which is parallel with an axis of a rotary element is displaced regarding to a lengthwise axis of the inner cavity of the stator to reach a planetary movement of the rotary piston where the mutual coupling of the rotary pistons with a driven mechanism is achieved by led out of following pins of the rotary pistons out of the cavities of the stator where they are procured with rotary cog wheels which are mutually coupled with the geared elliptical rotary element which is connected with the driven mechanism.

Uniaxial eccentric screw pump
09816503 · 2017-11-14 · ·

A uniaxial eccentric screw pump for rotating a rotor about its axis and revolving the rotor without involving complicated operations and control is provided. The uniaxial eccentric screw pump includes a rotor drive mechanism capable of revolving a rotor while rotating the rotor about its axis. The rotor drive mechanism includes a rotation power transmission member rotatable about a predetermined center axis, and a revolution track formation member capable of revolving a proximal shaft portion of the rotor while allowing rotation of the proximal shaft portion about its axis. The rotor drive mechanism distributes power output from the same motor in parallel and transmit the power to the rotation power transmission member and the revolution track formation member, enabling the rotation power transmission member and the revolution track formation member to rotate about their axes while being synchronized mechanically, and enabling the rotor to revolve while rotating about its axis.

PDM PERFORMANCE TESTING DEVICE
20170268339 · 2017-09-21 ·

A method for measuring load performance of a positive displacement motor (PDM) test coupon. The test coupon comprises a partial length of a PDM stage and is received inside a sealable test chamber. In some embodiments, the test coupon may be cut from a failed PDM stage. The test chamber is filled with test fluid.
