A method for exchanging coolant in a cooling system, which cooling system comprises at least one pump, an inlet conduit, an outlet conduit. The inlet conduit is connected to at least one external coolant source. The method comprises controlling said at least one pump to flow coolant in the cooling system from the at least one coolant source via the inlet conduit, through the cooling system, to the outlet conduit until the coolant in the cooling system has been at least partly exchanged. The disclosure also relates to a control unit configured to control exchange of coolant according to the method, a cooling system comprising the control unit and a vehicle or vessel comprising the cooling system.
Method for filling a cooling circuit of a motor vehicle with a coolant
A method for filling a cooling circuit of a motor vehicle with a coolant may include filling the cooling circuit with ion-free water in a water filling operation, leaving the ion-free water in the cooling circuit for a water duration of action in a water operation of action, displacing the ion-free water out of the cooling circuit via filling the cooling circuit with a passivating agent in a passivating operation, rinsing the cooling circuit with ion-free water such that the ion-free water at least dilutes the passivating agent in the cooling circuit and a liquid including at least one of the ion-free water and the passivating agent remains in the cooling circuit in a rinsing operation, displacing the liquid out of the cooling circuit via filling the cooling circuit with the coolant in a coolant filling operation, and/or fluidically sealing the cooling circuit towards an outside in a sealing operation.
Gradient-type expansion tank for automobile
An engine-and-electric-machine assembly is provided that includes an engine and an electric machine, a crankshaft being provided in the engine, the crankshaft including a main body and an extension section that extends out to the exterior of the engine, the extension section forming a rotation shaft of the electric machine, and a rotor of the electric machine being mounted on the extension section, wherein a terminal of the rotation shaft is connected to a coolant pump, a rotor of the coolant pump is mounted to the rotation shaft, and while the rotation shaft is rotating the rotation shaft drives the coolant pump to provide coolant to the electric machine. By connecting the rotation shaft of the electric machine to the coolant pump, the pump can be highly integrated into the system and reduce manufacturing cost.
Smokeless exhaust tube
A method filtering exhaust gas may include attaching an exhaust tube to an engine at an exhaust gas inlet of the exhaust tube. The method may also include filling an outer tube of the exhaust tube with a liquid. The method may further include filtering the exhaust gas by passing the exhaust gas through an inner gas distributor disposed inside the outer tube, and through a plurality of holes of the inner gas distributor into the liquid of the outer tube. In addition, the method may include expelling filtered exhaust gas through an exhaust gas outlet of the exhaust tube.

METHOD FOR FILLING A COOLING CIRCUIT OF A MOTOR VEHICLE WITH A COOLANT
The present invention relates to a method for filling a cooling circuit (2) of a motor vehicle (3) with a coolant (4). A simple filling of the cooling circuit (2) with coolant (4) and an increased operational safety are achieved in that the cooling circuit (2) is initially filled with ion-free water (13) and thereafter with a passivating agent (16), and wherein thereafter the cooling circuit (2) is rinsed with ion-free water (13) and subsequently filled with the coolant (4).
The invention, furthermore, relates to a system (1) for filling a cooling circuit (2) of a motor vehicle (3) with coolant (4).
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ENHANCED DE-GAS SYSTEM IN A VEHICLE
Systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable media provide a provide an apparatus for initializing cooling circulation with a de-gas pumping system in a vehicle. The apparatus includes a de-gas tank filled with cooling liquid, disposed at a first height within a chamber of the vehicle, a pump connected with the de-gas tank via a pipe, disposed at a second height lower than the first height within the chamber, and a filling reservoir disposed in proximity to the pump and at a substantially similar height with the second height within the chamber.
Thermal isolation of cooling circuits with a common degas bottle filling port
A vehicle cooling system includes a first cooling circuit having a first operating temperature range when the vehicle is in an operational state, a second cooling circuit having a second operating temperature range, and a degas bottle. The degas bottle has a first chamber operably coupled to the first cooling circuit and a second chamber operably coupled to the second cooling circuit. The degas bottle includes a fill port operably coupled to the second chamber and a flow restrictor disposed at a divider separating the first and second chambers. The flow restrictor is configured to open to enable cooling fluid provided via the fill port, when the vehicle is in a non-operational state, to flow from the second chamber to the first chamber and be closed when the vehicle is in the operational state to prevent the cooling fluid from flowing between the first and second chambers.
