SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PLACESHIFTING MEDIA PLAYBACK
Systems and methods of placeshifting media playback between two or more devices are provided. For example, a method for placeshifting media may include downloading onto a first device an index of files accessed or modified on a second device via a data storage server, at least one of the files being a media file played on the second device. The first device may display a user selectable list of the files on the first device before issuing a request for the media file to the data storage server. The data storage server may send the media file to the first device from the data storage server, and the first device may play back the media file where the second device left off.
Method for operating an exhaust gas purification system of an internal combustion engine
A method for operating an exhaust gas purification system of an internal combustion engine, which can be operated in a lean operating mode and in a rich operating mode, is disclosed. The exhaust gas purification system has, arranged one after the other in the direction of flow of the exhaust gas, an ammonia-forming catalyst, a first exhaust gas sensor, an ammonia-SCR catalyst, a nitrogen oxide storage catalyst and a second exhaust gas sensor. Exhaust gas sensors emit a first signal correlating with the nitrogen oxide content of the exhaust gas and a second signal correlating with the lambda value of the exhaust gas. In diagnostic operation, the ammonia storage capacity of the ammonia-SCR catalyst and the oxygen and optionally the nitrogen oxide storage capacity of the nitrogen oxide storage catalyst can be determined by analyzing the signals of the first and second exhaust gas sensors.
METHODS AND SYSTEM FOR CONTROLLING SELECTIVE CATALYTIC REDUCTANT CATALYST OF A GASOLINE ENGINE
Systems and methods for controlling a gasoline urea selective catalytic reductant catalyst are described. In one example, an observer is provided that corrects an estimate of an amount of NH.sub.3 that is stored in a SCR. The amount of NH.sub.3 that is stored in the SCR is a basis for generating additional NH.sub.3 or ceasing generation of NH.sub.3.
Operating an exhaust gas aftertreatment system of an internal combustion engine and an exhaust gas aftertreatment system
Methods and/or systems for operating an exhaust-gas aftertreatment system of an internal combustion engine include: setting the internal combustion engine to a diagnostic operating mode with relevant diagnostic operating parameters of the internal combustion engine are set to correspond with diagnostic default values; inducing a targeted, defined NH.sub.3 and/or NO.sub.X concentration change upstream of the filter; measuring the NH.sub.3 and/or NO.sub.X concentration change downstream of the filter; providing a correlating concentration comparison value; evaluating the concentration change on the basis of the respective concentration comparison value and predefined limit values; and diagnosing the SCR particle filter as defective if the evaluation yields that the concentration comparison value has overshot a predefined limit value.
Catalyst deterioration diagnosis method and catalyst deterioration diagnosis system
A catalyst deterioration diagnosis method is a method for a system. The system includes a stepped transmission or a continuously variable transmission connected to an internal combustion engine, a catalyst into which an exhaust gas from the internal combustion engine is introduced, and a gas sensor having sensitivity to ammonia that outputs a detection value corresponding to a component of an exhaust gas that has passed through the catalyst. The catalyst deterioration diagnosis method includes the following steps. Monitoring of temporary increase of a detection value of the gas sensor is started, and thereby a temporarily increased amount of the detection value of the gas sensor is acquired. The monitoring is started when upshifting of the stepped transmission or pseudo-upshifting of the continuously variable transmission is performed. Whether or not the temporarily increased amount is larger than a threshold amount is determined.
Method for ascertaining the nitrogen oxide fraction and/or ammonia fraction in the exhaust gas of an internal combustion engine
Various embodiments of the teachings herein include a method for determining the nitrogen oxide content and/or ammonia content in the exhaust gas of an internal combustion engine with a catalytic converter arranged in an exhaust tract and an exhaust gas sensor downstream of the catalytic converter. In some embodiments, the method comprises: determining an operating state of the internal combustion engine, the operating state indicating either lean operation or rich operation of the internal combustion engine; generating a signal using the exhaust gas sensor; and determining the nitrogen oxide content and/or ammonia content in the exhaust gas at least partially based on the determined operating state of the internal combustion engine and the signal.
Operation control method of vehicle engine and vehicle system
In a method of performing active control between a lean operation state and a rich operation state on a vehicle engine including a three way catalyst in an exhaust path, on a downstream side with respect to the three way catalyst in the exhaust path, a limited current type NOx sensor having NH.sub.3 interference and also capable of detecting a change in an oxygen concentration on the downstream side is disposed, and an operation state of the vehicle engine is switched between a lean operation state and a rich operation state at a timing when a detection of a change in an oxygen concentration in an exhaust air flowing out from the three way catalyst or a detection of NOx or NH.sub.3 is performed first by the NOx sensor.
Method of operating a diesel engine and diesel engine with checking of NH3 concentration
Various embodiments include a method of operating a diesel engine having an exhaust tract and an SCR-combined diesel particulate filter in the exhaust tract, wherein an aqueous urea solution is introduced into the exhaust tract, and an exhaust gas recirculation apparatus having an exhaust gas recirculation conduit branching off downstream of the SCR-combined diesel particulate filter for performing a low-pressure exhaust gas recirculation comprising: measuring an NH.sub.3 concentration in exhaust gas downstream of the SCR-combined diesel particulate filter; and upon exceeding a threshold value of the measured NH.sub.3 concentration, reducing the low-pressure exhaust gas recirculation rate based at least in part on the measured NH.sub.3 concentration.
