Inlet control valve for high pressure fuel pump
The disclosed inlet check valve is used in a high pressure fuel pump and is comprised of a valve member integrally connected to a valve stem which is coupled to an inlet valve armature. The valve member has a stroke along an axis between an open position and a closed position. An inlet valve solenoid generates a magnetic field in an inlet valve pole to attract the inlet valve armature and move the valve member from the open position to the closed position. In the open position, the valve member contacts an inlet valve stop and a gap greater than the stroke of the valve member is defined along the axis between the inlet valve armature and the inlet valve pole. In the closed position, an inlet valve seat mates with the valve member and an armature gap remains between the inlet valve armature and the inlet valve pole.
High-pressure fuel supply pump
Provided is a high-pressure fuel supply pump capable of reducing a manufacturing cost of a part for holding a metal damper. The high-pressure fuel supply pump includes a pump body 1 having a pressurizing chamber 11 therein, a damper cover 14 forming a damper chamber 10 together with the pump body 1 on the upstream side of the pressurizing chamber 11, a metal damper 9 that is disposed in the damper cover 10 and formed by laminating two metal diaphragms, and a first holding member 9a that is disposed in the damper chamber 10 and presses and holds the metal damper 9 from one side. The first holding member 9a includes a first regulation portion that regulates the radial movement of the metal damper 9, and a second regulation portion that regulates the radial movement of the first holding member 9a in the damper chamber 10. At a position of the second regulation portion, a flow path is formed which allows the fuel in the damper chamber 10 to circulate to both surfaces of the metal damper 9.
FUEL PUMP ADAPTER
In at least some implementations, an adapter, for a fuel pump having a casing, has a base having an axis and an opening through which fluid may flow, and multiple tabs connected to the base. The tabs are circumferentially spaced apart with a void between at least part of the tabs, and at least two tabs have a contact portion that extends radially inwardly to define a minimum diameter opening between the tabs. Each contact portion extends along a portion less than all of the surface areas of the radially inner surface of the tabs.
FUEL INJECTION VALVE
A fuel injection valve includes a fixed core and a movable core. The fixed core includes a fixed-side high rigidity portion having high rigidity and a fixed-side low rigidity portion having rigidity lower than that of the fixed-side high rigidity portion. The movable core includes a movable-side high rigidity portion having high rigidity and a movable-side low rigidity portion having rigidity lower than that of the movable-side high rigidity portion. Current fed to a coil generates a magnetic attractive force to cause the movable core to move toward the fixed core together with a needle and to cause the movable-side high rigidity portion to abut on the fixed-side high rigidity portion.
Roller drive mechanism for GDI pump
In a high pressure fuel supply system, a variable speed motor asynchronously actuates a pumping piston with a drive mechanism including a circular cam with cam roller, having an axis that is offset from the axis of the cam drive shaft. A rolling or sliding cam follower is rigidly connected to the piston, and a piston retainer is operatively connected among the piston, the cam follower and the cam roller. As the cam shaft rotates, the cam roller rotates eccentrically relative to the cam shaft while maintaining contact with the cam follower, thereby reciprocating the follower and the piston along the actuation axis, in corresponding charging and pumping strokes of the piston.
Fuel pump for gasoline direct injection
A fuel pump includes a fuel pump housing made of stainless steel and having a pumping chamber therewithin, a plunger bore extending thereinto, an inlet passage extending thereinto, and an outlet passage extending thereinto. A pumping plunger reciprocates within the plunger bore such that an intake stroke of the pumping plunger increases volume of the pumping chamber and a compression stroke of the pumping plunger decreases volume of the pumping chamber. An outlet valve controls fuel flow from the pumping chamber out of the fuel pump housing. The outlet valve includes an outlet valve seating surface formed by the fuel pump housing within the outlet passage such that a nitrided layer extends from the outlet valve seating surface into the fuel pump housing. The outlet valve also includes an outlet valve member within the outlet passage which is moveable between a seated position and an unseated position.

A damper device is provided in a flow passage of a fluid. The damper device includes a plurality of diaphragm dampers that are stacked together. Each of the plurality of diaphragm dampers includes a first flexible portion, a second flexible portion, and a rim including a welded portion. A peripheral edge of the first flexible portion and a peripheral edge of the second flexible portion are welded together in the welded portion. Each of the plurality of diaphragm dampers is configured to seal a gas in an inner region between the first flexible portion and the second flexible portion. A coupler that couples the plurality of diaphragm dampers together includes holders that hold the rims of the plurality of diaphragm dampers. A gap is provided between the holder of the coupler and the welded portion of each of the plurality of diaphragm dampers.
