Internal combustion engine with two working spaces of a cylinder
An engine having a cylinder fastened to the engine ease with the biconcave internal partition, which divides the cylinder into the upper and bottom parts. Sparking plugs are mounted on both sides of the partition. The upper and the bottom parts of the cylinder have side scavenging channels which connect suction spaces to the working spaces of both parts of the cylinder. The upper and bottom parts of the cylinder have inlet and outlet orifices. Inside the upper and inside the bottom part of the cylinder and the upper and bottom piston are placed respectively, while both pistons are directed towards each other by the working surfaces. The pistons are connected by a rod that is led through the linear bearing that is embedded in the partition forming a seal. The connecting rod is fastened to the bottom piston and by its other end it is connected to the crankshaft.
ENHANCED FUEL AND METHOD OF PRODUCING ENHANCED FUEL FOR OPERATING INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
An enhanced fuel, a method of producing such enhanced fuel, and method of using such enhanced fuel for operating internal combustion engine. The fuel includes a mixture of at least one alcohol, water and ammonium nitrate (AN) as a cetane enhancer. The water is included in a quantity which renders the ammonium nitrate dissolved in the at least one alcohol. The fuel further contains dimethylether as an ignition-improver additive, at least one lubricity agent and at least one anti-corrosion agent.
Filter Element and Filter Arrangement
A filter element (3), in particular an air filter element, for a filter arrangement (1), having a frame (6) that has at least one contact surface (11) for contacting a clamping surface (30) of at least one clamping element (27, 28) of the filter arrangement (1), wherein the at least one contact surface (11) includes straight segments (12, 13, 14) and oblique segments (15, 16) arranged between the straight segments (12, 13, 14), and wherein the straight segments (12, 13, 14) are arranged such that the clamping surface (30) when the latter is displaced relative to the at least on contact surface (11) essentially exclusively contacts the oblique segments (15, 16).
System and method for storing and supplying water to an internal combustion engine of a motor vehicle
A system for storing and supplying water to an internal combustion engine of a motor vehicle with a reservoir (1) for the water, with at least a delivery pump (5) for the water, and with at least a pipeline system comprising at least a feed line (4) to a consumer which is preferably designed in the form of at least a metering unit, and at least a return line (9) into the reservoir (1) as well as with means for demineralizing the water which are disposed inside the reservoir (1) or in the pipeline system.
Motor vehicle comprising a water provision unit and method for operating a motor vehicle
A motor vehicle including a water provision unit for providing water to at least one water consumer. Here, a water collection tank, a primary water tank and at least one secondary water tank are provided. The water collection tank is or can be fluidically connected to a water source and the primary water tank, bypassing the water collection tank and the secondary water tank, is fluidically connected to the at least one water consumer. The water collection tank is fluidically connected both directly and indirectly via the at least one secondary water tank to the primary water tank, and the water provision unit includes a water conveying unit which is provided and designed for conveying the water out of the water collection tank in direction of the primary water tank by a gaseous conveying medium.
Device for Injecting Water into a Combustion Chamber or into an Intake Tract of an Internal Combustion Engine
A device for injecting water into a combustion chamber or into an intake tract of an internal combustion engine includes a rail and at least one injection valve connected to the rail. The connection is produced by means of a rail cup, which surrounds the injection valve at the rail-side end of the injection valve. The injection valve has a feed channel open toward the rail, in which feed channel at least some portions of an insert are received in order to reduce the feed cross-section.
System and method for injecting an aqueous solution on-board a vehicle
A vehicle system includes a tank for storing an aqueous solution; and a UV light decontamination module configured for decontaminating aqueous solution stored in the tank. The UV light decontamination module is arranged in a wall of the tank. The UV light decontamination module includes a light source compartment which is accessible from an external area outside of the tank; and a light transmission member configured to transmit UV light from the light source compartment to a liquid space in fluid communication with aqueous solution stored in the tank. The light source compartment includes a light source to emit UV light through the light transmission member to the liquid space.
SPLIT CYCLE INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE PROVIDED WITH A WATER INJECTION
A split cycle internal combustion engine comprises a combustion cylinder and a compression cylinder arranged to receive air and compress the air to provide a compressed working fluid to the combustion cylinder for combustion. The compression cylinder is coupled to a water reservoir.
