A low emission submersible engine is part of a multipurpose aquatic device, such as an aquatic craft or an electrical generator. A propulsion system having a propeller is coupled to the submersible engine to produce a swimmer propulsion machine and a generator is attached to the engine to produce an electrical generator. The submersible engine receives air from a snorkel that extends up above a water line. The aquatic device has a fuel reservoir which may receive liquid fuel or may receive a fuel cylinder. Floatation chambers keep the aquatic device afloat with the engine submerge. The exhaust assembly and exhaust ports from the engine may also be submerged and the exhaust ports may provide additional thrust. A propulsion system housing integrates the drive shaft and propeller, clutch coupler, exhaust conduits and water flow conduits and is detachably attachable to the engine.

Throttle devices for restricting airflow to marine engines

A throttle device is for a marine engine. The throttle device has a throttle body with a through-bore for conveying air for combustion in the marine engine. A throttle plate is movable into and between a closed position in which the throttle plate prevents airflow through the through-bore and an open position in which the throttle plate allows the airflow through the through-bore. A restrictor device located is adjacent to the throttle plate. The restrictor device restricts the airflow through the through-bore when the throttle plate is moved out of the closed position.

Exhaust gas recirculation system for an internal combustion engine
10054072 · 2018-08-21 · ·

An exhaust gas recirculation system is provided for an internal combustion engine having reciprocating piston design with an exhaust gas turbocharger unit having an exhaust gas turbine and a supercharger. The internal combustion engine has a machine housing accommodating one or more cylinders having reciprocating pistons, which is provided with a suction unit and an exhaust gas outlet unit, which is connected to the exhaust gas turbine by way of an exhaust gas line. The exhaust gas line supplies at least a part of the exhaust gas stream to the suction unit via the exhaust gas recirculation system. To optimize the exhaust gas recirculation system, it has a pipe branch, which is connected to the exhaust gas line and is connected to an exhaust gas recirculation line with a control element interconnected. The exhaust gas recirculation line extends, on the one hand, with a first supply line section outside and, on the other hand, with a second supply line section in an interior of, a suction unit container of the suction unit. An exhaust gas stream is conveyed by the second supply line section into the suction unit container for targeted mixing of exhaust gases with the air volume contained in the suction unit container.

Outboard motor

An outboard motor includes an outboard motor main body including an engine and a propeller driven by the engine, an upper bracket to attach the outboard motor main body to a hull, and a pair of antivibration mounts. The pair of antivibration mounts are joined to the upper bracket, and sandwich and elastically support a portion of the outboard motor main body from the left and the right of the outboard motor main body. The pair of antivibration mounts are arranged side by side in the left-right direction so that a center of rolling of the outboard motor main body is located between the pair of antivibration mounts in the left-right direction, and are bilaterally asymmetrical to each other.

CHARGE AIR COOLER ARRANGEMENT

The charge air cooler arrangement for a piston engine includes an air cooler housing, a charge air cooler, which is arranged inside the air cooler housing, and an air duct that is connected to the air cooler housing for introducing charge air into the charge air cooler. The air duct is configured to protrude into the air cooler housing and to be attached to the charge air cooler.

Engine device

An engine device, which employs various types of fuels, plural fuel pipes can compactly be disposed without being thermally affected by exhaust gas. In the engine device, a gas fuel pipe that supplies gas fuel to a gas injector, a fuel oil pipe that supplies liquid fuel to a main fuel injection valve are disposed to be divided on both sides of a row of head covers arranged in a line. In addition, in the engine device, an intake manifold that supplies air taken in by a main combustion chamber toward an intake valve extends in parallel to the row of head covers in a cylinder block, and the fuel gas pipe and the intake manifold are arranged on the same side of the row of head covers.

SEA WATER INFLOW PREVENTION DEVICE FOR A MARINE ENGINE

A sea water inflow prevention device for a marine engine, includes; an intake valve that is installed at an air inlet of the marine engine to open or close the air inlet; and a valve drive portion that one side thereof is connected with the air inlet that is disposed between the intake valve and the marine engine, the other side thereof is connected with the air intake valve, makes the air intake valve open the air inlet, when a negative pressure inside the air inlet becomes larger than a tension of a spring member provided inside, and makes the air intake valve close the air inlet, when the negative pressure inside the air inlet is less than a tension of the spring member.
