SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR POWER DISTRIBUTION AND HARNESSING OF MARINE HYDROKINETIC ENERGY
An example system comprises an enclosure configured to be submerged in a body of water. The system also comprises a capture device coupled to the enclosure. The capture device includes a rotor shaft and a plurality of blades coupled to the rotor shaft. The plurality of blades are arranged to receive a flow of water when the enclosure is submerged in the body of water. The flow of water causes the plurality of blades to rotate the rotor shaft. The system also comprises a transfer device extending lengthwise from a first end to a second end of the transfer device. The transfer device is mechanically coupled to the capture device at the first end and configured to transfer a torque of the rotating rotor shaft from the first end to the second end. The second end is located outside the enclosure.
HYDRODYNAMIC POWER GENERATOR AND SYSTEM
This disclosure is directed to hydrodynamic electric generators, including their structural design, methods of deployment, anchoring systems, drive systems and control systems. The system can be scaled from ones that can be hand carried to large, stationary devices that can generate up to and greater than 20 kw in a current of 3 knots. In a stationary system, the device can be anchored to an underwater floor by an anchoring device supported by four adjustable legs. These legs can eliminate the need for extensive mooring lines, providing the device with a small footprint that is non-hazardous to marine animals or vegetation. Individual components, such as rotors, generators and other mechanical components can be modularly installed for easy removal and servicing without having to disturb the entire system.
Large tidal current energy generating device and assembly platform thereof
The present invention provides an assembly platform of a large tidal current energy generating device. The assembly platform is internally provided with at least one horizontal axis hydro-generator. The assembly platform includes supports, at least four fixed piles, at least two sleeving members and at least two force-bearing supports. The fixed piles are connected through the supports to form an installation space. The hydro-generator is installed inside the installation space, one end of each fixed pile is driven to be fixed to a seabed and the other end extends to be above a water surface. Ends of the at least two force-bearing supports are respectively mounted on the left and right sides of the horizontal axis hydro-generator along the water flow direction and the other ends are respectively provided with corresponding sleeving members so as to resist an impact force of a water flow on the horizontal axis hydro-generator.
Wave energy recovery apparatus with power-take-off arrangement
This invention relates to a wave energy recovery apparatus with a power-take-off arrangement comprising at least a base, a reciprocating panel, two power-take-off (PTO) units with one or more generators to convert kinetic energy of waves or tidal currents to electricity, at least two gear transmissions operatively connected between the panel and the generators and at least two one-way clutch mechanisms to control the directions of rotation of the generators. The panel is arranged to rotate a half of the generators when rotating into one direction and another half of the generators when rotating into the opposite direction.
HYDROELECTRIC GENERATOR
The invention relates to a floatable hydroelectric generator (10) for harvesting electrical energy from the flow (R) of water in a river. The generator assembly (10) includes a floatable chassis (12) to which are connected two spaced-apart rotational axles (18). An electrical generator (not shown) is mounted on the floatable chassis (12) and coupled to the rotational axles (18). A chain (20) is connected to the rotational axles (18) via pulley wheels (16). A plurality of water receptacles (22) are fixed to the chain (20), and each being orientated, when submerged, to present their major openings towards an oncoming waterflow direction (R). A plurality of minor openings (24) is provided through a wall of each water receptacle (22). A valve member in the form of a flexible flap (26) is located within each water receptacle (22) for controlling passage of water through said minor openings (24). The flexible flap (26) is adapted to selectively permit flow of water through the minor openings (24) into each water receptacle (22); but substantially prevent flow of water through said minor openings (24) out of each water receptacle (22). The generator assembly (10) of the present invention may be deployed at a desired location within a river—optionally as part of a larger array of such assemblies—to generate electricity on a substantially continuous basis.
Offshore ocean renewable energy hydro-turbine unit
Hydro Turbine unit producing 880 MW-h energy daily in offshore oceans creating average high-pressure compressed air transferable energy stored in air tanks and using generators to transform into local electrical energy. The harvesting of renewable offshore water energy of ocean wave, tidal and stream energy, converting it to accumulated water head potential energy in a large isolated water trapping pool structurally supported laterally by six tall towers extended to ocean maximum depth of 100 meter deep with arrow shape plungers pneumatic reciprocating hammering into seabed in slanted angle relative to seabed. The energized ocean water enters the trap pool through thousands of one-way check valves in the trap pool floor and surrounding walls. Large flow openings into 6 Hydro turbine manifolds direct swirling water through radial guiding vanes and conical converging top vertically downward through 8 turbine blades applying torque to turbine outlet shaft and flowing down to ocean level.
Width-adjustable packaging bag shaper, bag maker, packaging machine and method
A width-adjustable packaging bag shaper, a bag maker, a packaging machine, and a method. The packaging machine including the bag maker, a traction device and a heat sealing device are respectively arranged above the bag maker, and a width adjustment device adjusts the distances between different sub bottom plates in a front bottom plate and a rear bottom plate by using a leadscrew and slide block mechanism, and then adjusts the width of a bottom plate. The leadscrew and slide block mechanism is used as the width adjustment device of the automatic width-adjustable noodle packaging bag shaper system, and four bottom plates are respectively fixed to the width adjustment device, so the leadscrew and slide block mechanism in operation is accurate in range of adjustment, is suitable for various widths of packaging bags, and has very important significance for the three-dimensional shaping effect of the packaging bags.
WATER-DRIVEN ELONGATED-CONVEYOR TURBINE AND METHOD OF USING A WATER-DRIVEN ELONGATED-CONVEYOR TURBINE
A water-driven turbine has an elongated endless conveyor with down and up streaming straightaways connected by travel-reversing turns. Paddles mounted on the conveyor present high resistance to waterflow on the downstream straightaway and low resistance to waterflow or the atmosphere on the upstream straightaway, the differential allowing the flow of water to continuously drive the conveyor which is connected to a power take-off shaft facilitating connection to a variety of energy-harnessing systems. The turbine can be towed, self-driven or mooring line manipulated to a flow site and is operable in unidirectional flows such as rivers and reversing flows such as tides at depths from surface to bottom. The paddles can be mounted or changed on shore, at the flow site and anywhere in between. The turbine is efficient in low and high velocity water flow, not easily damaged by floating debris, cavitation free and fish, mammal and environmentally friendly.
