FRANCIS-TYPE HYDRAULIC MACHINE
A hydraulic machine of the Francis-type includes: an impeller with blades; a guide vane assembly with a ring of guide vanes, a vane-free space extending between the impeller and the guide vane assembly; and at least three resonators for suppressing pressure fluctuations, the resonators respectively including a chamber and a tube connector, the tube connector being connected to the chamber, the tube connector including an end that faces away from the chamber and that opens into the vane-free space, the resonators being configured for suppressing the pressure fluctuations occurring during the operation of the hydraulic machine, the resonators being arranged at a uniform distance from each other in a circumferential direction around the impeller, and the resonators being adjusted to a resonant frequency which is one and the same relative to one another.
Hydraulic turbine
A hydraulic turbine includes a rotor with a runner, which is concentrically surrounded by a stator, whereby the runner comprises a plurality of runner blades arranged and distributed in a ring around a rotor axis, and each runner blade extends between a runner crown and a runner band; whereby the stator comprises a plurality of guide vanes arranged and distributed in a ring around the rotor axis, and each guide vane extends between an upper stator ring and a lower stator ring; and whereby a predetermined clearance is provided at least between the runner band and the lower stator ring. A substantial reduction of pressure pulsations in the vane-less gap between said runner blades of said runner is achieved by substantially increasing said predetermined clearance.
HYDRAULIC TURBINE
A runner for a hydraulic turbine configured to reduce fish mortality. The runner includes a hub and a plurality of blades extending from the hub. Each blade includes a root connected to the hub and a tip opposite the root. Each blade further includes a leading edge opposite a trailing edge, and a ratio of a thickness of the leading edge to a diameter of the runner can range from about 0.06 to about 0.35. Further, each blade has a leading edge that is curved relative to a radial axis of the runner.

FRANCIS-TYPE TURBINE RUNNER AND FRANCIS-TYPE TURBINE
According to the embodiment, in a range from a plane P1 including a runner rotation center axis C and an end point 15E2 of an outlet end 15 of the vane 13, up to a plane P2 corresponding to a position where the plane P1 is moved by an angle, which is determined by dividing 360° by a value that is four times the number of vanes 13, in a runner rotation direction, when respective sections of the vane 13 are taken at a plane including the axis C and radially extending, in at least one section, a tangent T1 on a centerline Cv of the vane 13 passing through an intersection X at which the centerline Cv and a flowing water surface 12f intersect, and a tangent T2 on the flowing water surface 12f passing through the intersection X, define an acute angle on a negative pressure surface.
REDUCED SCALE RUNNER AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THEREOF
The invention concerns a reduced-scale model of a turbine comprising a crown (1), a band (2) and blades (3) between said band and said crown, wherein the model is a single bloc assembly of said band, said crown and said blades.
Hydraulic machine comprising a radial flow runner
A hydraulic machine including a runner of Francis type, a head cover and a lower cover, the runner includes a low and a high pressure side, a crown, a band, and a plurality of blades, the crown having a sealing element to seal the space between the crown and head cover against water from the high-pressure side, whereas the runner has at least one passage to drain high-pressure leakage water passing the sealing element to the low-pressure side, and the passage has an inlet aperture located in a portion of the crown which during operation is exposed to high-pressure leakage water, the passage being located within one of the blades and leads from the inlet aperture to the band, where the passage forms an opening leading to the space between the band and the lower cover.
FRANCIS-TYPE TURBINE RUNNER AND FRANCIS-TYPE TURBINE
According to an embodiment, the vane 13 has a thick root portion 16P formed on the band 12 side of a pressure surface to be joined to the band 12, with a thickness of the thick root portion 16P being gradually increased toward the band 12, and a thick root portion 16N formed on the band 12 side of a negative pressure surface to be joined to the band 12, with a thickness of the thick root portion 16N being gradually increased toward the band 12. The outlet end 15 has a first curved portion 151 and a second curved portion 152. An extreme point 15B forming a bottom end of the second curved portion 152 is positioned closer to the band 12 than an end of the thick root portion 16P, 16N on the crown 11 side.
Guide vane apparatus for water turbine and water turbine equipped with the same
According to the embodiment of the present invention, a guide vane of a water turbine rotatable about an axis, including a guide vane for directing supplied flowing water toward the downstream side. The guide vane has a downstream end edge having an upper end portion and a lower end portion. The lower end portion of the downstream end edge is displaced in the direction orthogonal to an axis with respect to the upper end portion of the downstream end edge when viewed from the downstream side.
