Wind charger for vehicle
A rotating system includes a motor including a shaft, an impeller configured to rotate with the shaft and located in a path of air, an alternator including a rotor configured to rotate with the shaft; and at least one secondary battery configured to be charged by the alternator. Rotation of the shaft is configured to be driven by either the motor or the impeller.
PLENUM RESIDENT WIND TURBINE SUSTAINABLE ENERGY GENERATING SYSTEM
A plenum resident wind turbine sustainable energy generating system is disclosed. An example embodiment includes: a wind turbine assembly installed in a plenum of a heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) unit, the wind turbine assembly including a plurality of blades and a transverse shaft; and a generator coupled to the shaft of the wind turbine assembly.
Wind Turbine Energy Tube Battery Charging System for a Vehicle
The present application discloses wind-powered charging systems and methods for an electric vehicle. The present system can be located within tube structure on the interior of a vehicle and can comprises one or more intake ports such that, when the car is in motion, air flows into the intake ports. The intakes ports are operatively connected to at least one wind turbine, each wind turbine having a self-contained alternator and blades, the alternator being located interior to the blades. In operation, the air flow from the intake port rotates the blades of the turbine to generate electricity (AC or DC electricity) in the alternator, which is used to charge one or more batteries of the vehicle. The electricity created in the alternator can be used to produce more than one voltage output such that batteries of different voltages can be charged simultaneously.
Vertical-Axis Renewable-Power Generator
A vertical-axis renewable-power generator is an apparatus that is used to efficiently generate power in various weather conditions using renewable energy sources. The apparatus includes a vertically-oriented foil and a fluid turbine. The foil is designed to generate areas of relative high fluid velocity and low pressure on one side and relative lower fluid velocity and higher pressure on the opposite side. The foil is also self-directing so that the foil can follow the direction of the fluid flow. The fluid turbine is integrated into the foil so that the fluid turbine can be rotated by the high-speed fluid flow. The rotation of the fluid turbine can be used to generate electricity. The apparatus conforms to the Bernoulli's principle that is proven to increase the speed of the fluid flow over the foil, which is used to increase the speed of the fluid flow impacting the fluid turbine.
Wind turbine for the production of electric power with multiple-blade vanes and horizontal shaft supperted at the ends
Wind turbine system improved by the inventor for the production of electrical power, which comprises a shaft supported at two ends on two towers made of concrete or steel or another material, the lower half of which wind turbine is closed with a frustopyramidal shape in order that the wind does not pass and generate a “hill” effect and simply applies thrust to the upper part of the system. The system comprises sails composed of vanes in the form of a blade (double-arc) that rotate about themselves in order to utilize 100% of the different wind speeds and a possible stopping of the wind turbine system. The blades of the vanes of the wind turbine may be braced with respect to one another in order, where necessary, that same move at the same time. On account of the level of safety and stability it affords, the wind turbine allows a number of wind turbines to be placed in the direction of the wind.
APPARATUS FOR DRIVING AND CONTROLLING CONVERTERS AND SWITCHING ELEMENT MODULES IN A WIND POWER GENERATION SYSTEM
Disclosed herein are an apparatus for driving converters in a wind power generation system, an apparatus for controlling converters in a wind power generation system, an apparatus for driving switching element modules in a wind power generation system, and an apparatus for controlling switching element modules in a wind power generation system. The apparatus for driving converters in a wind power generation system includes a converter control unit configured to drive a plurality of converters connected in parallel between a generator and a grid, wherein the converter control unit sequentially drives the converters one by one when output power of the grid increases and sequentially stops the operations of the converters one by one when output power of the grid decreases.
SELF-PROPELLED BUOYANT ENERGY CONVERTER AND METHOD FOR DEPLOYING SAME
Disclosed is a system for deploying, stationing, and translocating buoyant wind- and wave-energy converters and/or other buoyant structures or devices, as well as farms of same. Also disclosed is a novel apparatus and/or machine comprising a farm of buoyant wave energy converters deployed by said method and/or configured to be deployed by said method.
Wind turbine assembly
A wind turbine assembly comprising a generally cylindrical wind turbine rotor that is supported by a rotor support and operable to rotate about a rotational axis, the rotor comprising a plurality of aerofoil blades with each aerofoil blade having a leading edge, a trailing edge, a suction surface, a pressure surface, and an aerofoil chord having a chord length between the leading edge and the trailing edge, the aerofoil blades being in a generally cylindrical arrangement around the rotational axis with the leading edges at a larger radial separation from the rotational axis than the trailing edges, and the chords being angled relative to radii through the rotational axis such that the suction surfaces and pressure surfaces respectively face generally outwardly and inwardly from and to the rotational axis, wherein the minimum separation (S) between the leading edge of a first aerofoil and the suction surface of an adjacent aerofoil is less than the chord length (L.sub.C), and wherein the location of the maximum thickness of each aerofoil blade (L.sub.Tmax) along the chord (L.sub.C)) is less than 20% of the chord length (L) from the leading edge.
Electric vehicle with energy producing system and method of using the same
An energy-producing system comprising an axle configured to be driven by an electric vehicle's wheels when in motion. The axle supports a series of wind-catching cups contained within an aerodynamic housing configured to direct air to the cups while also increasing the air speed. During vehicle motion, the cups are acted upon by rushing air causing the rotation of the axle such that the rotation may be transferred into energy via a generator/alternator linked thereto. A series of similarly polarized magnets integrated on said cups and/or spacers and/or housing proximate thereto further maintain the axle in motion during short vehicle stops. The system extends the life of the batteries between charges as well the distance the vehicle can travel between charges. A bracket supporting a series of permanent magnets assists with driving the axle.
