METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR TESTING AND CONFIRMING A SUCCESSFUL DOWNLINK TO A ROTARY STEERABLE SYSTEM
A method that includes an electronic application identifying a downlink sequence for execution by a surface control system of a drilling rig, with the sequence including target output values of a mud pump system and/or a drive system. The method includes instructing the control system to operate in accordance with the sequence. The application receives measured output values of the mud pump system and/or the drive system and calculates differences between the target and measured output values. When the differences are within a level of tolerance, then the application identifies the control system as compliant; and when the differences are greater than the level of tolerance, then the application identifies the control system as non-compliant. The method also includes the application receiving data from a BHA of the drilling rig and determining, based on the data received, if a downlink to the BHA was successful.
Degradation diagnostic device and air-conditioning apparatus
Provided is a degradation diagnostic device, which is configured to perform a diagnosis for degradation of a compressor including a compression mechanism unit to be driven along with a rotational motion of a rotary shaft, and a shell, which is configured to form an outer casing. The degradation diagnostic device includes a vibration detection device to be fixed onto an outer wall of the shell at a position at which the compression mechanism unit is located. The vibration detection device includes: a vibration sensor, which is configured to detect vibration of the compressor; a sensor holding unit including the vibration sensor; a base portion to which the sensor holding unit is connected; and a plurality of projecting portions, which are formed on a surface of the base portion on a side opposite to the sensor holding unit and to be brought into contact with the outer wall.
Hydraulic actuator control device for dump truck
An engine (12) drives a variable capacity-type hydraulic pump (16), discharged hydraulic oil is selectively supplied to a cooling fan (19) and a hoist cylinder (11) in accordance with switching of a selection valve (17), thereby controlling the same on the basis of each target value. A pump discharge pressure (Pp) of the hydraulic oil discharged from the hydraulic pump (16) and a motor supply pressure (Pm) of the hydraulic oil supplied to a hydraulic motor (18) via the selection valve (17) are detected by sensors (27, 28) and are compared with pressure determination values stored in advance as a pump discharge pressure (Pp) and an actuator supply pressure (Pm) generated when the target value is achieved. Presence/absence of abnormality in the hydraulic actuator control device (15) is determined on the basis of a result of the comparison, and when abnormality is determined to have occurred, control is performed to minimize the capacity of the hydraulic pump (16).
ELECTRICALLY ACTUATED PUMP
Automatic electric actuation of the pump of a liquid dispenser apparatus is provided by a stepper motor having a threaded hollow liquid-conducting tube positioned therein and configured such that motor drives the hollow tube up and down in response to supply of a plurality of electrical pulses thereto. A lower end of the hollow tube is constructed to inter-fit with a stem of the pump such that driving the hollow tube up and down creates a pumping action.
Compressor
Provided is a compressor capable of calculating the correct time remaining before maintenance. The compressor is provided with: a compressor body that compresses fluid; a motor that drives the compressor body; a temperature sensor that detects the temperature of the compressor; a pressure sensor that detects the pressure of the compressed fluid outputted from the compressor body; and a calculation unit that calculates the time remaining before maintenance for the compressor body, using the temperature of the compressor and the pressure of the compressed fluid assigned with respective predetermined weights. The calculation unit changes the weighting of the temperature according to the pressure of the compressed fluid or the operation rate of the compressor body.
System and Method for Health Determination of a Machine Component
A system for determining health of a component is provided. The system includes an operational parameter module associated with the component and in communication with a controller. The controller is configured to receive an operating parameter signal from the operational parameter module. The controller is configured to monitor a change of the operating parameter over a predetermined time period. The controller is configured to compare the monitored operating parameter with a first predetermined threshold. The controller is configured to determine a rate of change of the monitored operating parameter over the predetermined time period. The controller is also configured to compare the determined rate of change with a second predetermined threshold.
