The device consists of two separate parts: a stationary unit (12) which contains a motor (16) and vacuum pump (14), and a mobile head (20) with a power-supply switch for the motor and an aspirating nozzle designed to fit over the valve (32) in the lid of an airtight container (28, 30). The mobile head connects to the stationary unit with two flexible coaxial spiral cords, consisting of a hose (22) linking the vacuum pump and aspirating nozzle, and a power cord (36) linking the switch to the electrical motor. Both lines can easily be stretched together from the storage position, in which the mobile head sits on the stationary unit, to active mode, in which the suction effect keeps the mobile head coupled to the container.

An air compressor includes a motor provided with a basic insulation, a first air compressing unit and a second air compressing unit that are driven by the motor, at least two tanks, and a discharge port. The at least two tanks are connected to the first air compressing unit and the second air compressing unit, store air compressed by the first air compressing unit and the second air compressing unit, and are connected to one another in series. The discharge port is disposed to a tank positioned on a most downstream of supplied compressed air and discharges the compressed air. The motor, the first air compressing unit and the second air compressing unit, and a tank on an upstream side with respect to the tank positioned on the most downstream are electrically insulated from the tank positioned on the most downstream and the discharge port.

A reciprocating air compressor arrangement includes a crank that drives a connecting rod and a piston within a cylinder. The connecting rod has a first end and a second end. The first end of the connecting rod is connected to the crank and the second end of the connecting rod is connected to the piston, with the crank provided to actuate the piston in a reciprocating motion within and relative to the cylinder so as to compress air within the cylinder. The reciprocating air compressor arrangement has a one-way flapper inlet valve allowing air to enter the cylinder, and a one-way outlet valve allowing compressed air to exit the cylinder. The inlet valve is biased to a partially open position.

A sealant reservoir is disposed on the base and filled with a flat tire sealant. The discharge hose is optionally configured to deliver the flat tire sealant to the tire. A controller is disposed on the base and receives tire data from the vehicle and controls discharge of the compressed air from the air compressor unit to the tire and optionally controls discharge of the flat tire sealant to the tire based on the tire data. The tire data includes a tire pressure reading associated with the tire.
