A fluid supply line supplies pressurized lubrication fluid through the machine housing to a piston cavity, wherein the piston arrangement further includes piston fluid channels and the bearing sealing ring includes lubrication conduits through the bearing sealing ring, corresponding with the piston fluid channels. The pressurized lubrication fluid is arranged for moving the piston arrangement against the sealing bearing ring and thus moving the sealing bearing ring against the sealing surface thus forming a sealing arrangement.

The second sliding surface has a smaller axial width than the first sliding surface. A sliding portion between the fitted shaft portion and the fitted tubular portion has a gap adjacent to the second sliding surface into which a lubricating oil flows, and an oil retainer to keep the lubricating oil in the gap from flowing out toward an end surface of the fitted tubular portion.

A shaft is constituted by a main shaft portion which has a rotor attached thereto and is supported by the main bearing, a first eccentric portion having a first piston attached thereto, a second eccentric portion having a second piston attached thereto, and an auxiliary shaft portion supported by the auxiliary bearing. A thrust receiving portion is provided on a side of the second eccentric portion facing the auxiliary shaft portion, and the auxiliary bearing is provided with a thrust surface on which the end face of the thrust receiving portion slides while contacting therewith. The thrust surface is provided with a ring groove.

Gear pump bearings with hybrid pads

A journal bearing assembly includes a first journal bearing disposed about a longitudinal end of a gear shaft and spaced a first distance from a first axial gear face. A first fluid film location and a first hybrid pad location are annularly between an inner surface of the first journal bearing and an outer surface of the gear shaft. The first hybrid pad location circumferentially adjacent to the first fluid film location has a minimum leading edge angular location of at least about 31.0° measured relative to a first bearing flat. A first porting path provides high pressure fluid communication from a location outside the first journal bearing to the first fluid film location at or adjacent to the first hybrid pad location.

Intermediate oil separator for improved performance in a scroll compressor

An oil lubrication system for a multi-stage compressor separates oil from a refrigerant at an intermediate pressure following the first stage of compression and then routes the separated oil at the intermediate pressure to the compressor suction cavity bearings at the intermediate pressure, thus avoiding further compression of oil in subsequent stages of compression. The efficiency of the multi-stage compressor can be increased by not raising the pressure of the oil through the subsequent stages of compression.

Internal gear pump

An internal gear pump includes a housing having a pump chamber in which an inner rotor and an outer rotor are arranged. A suction port in communication with a suction path and a discharge port in communication with a discharge path are formed at the housing. The pump chamber includes an inner wall having a suction region at a suction port-side and a discharge region at a discharge port-side. The suction region includes a first suction region extending towards the suction path from a pressing point, where the outer rotor is pressed when the internal gear pump is in operation, and a second suction region between the first suction region and the discharge region. A groove that enlarges a clearance between the outer rotor and the inner wall is formed in the first suction region, but the groove is not formed in the second suction region.

A plurality of compressors may be mechanically linked together such that their compression cycles are out of phase.
