Improved Pump and Reversible Pump-Turbine
The inventive technology, in particular embodiments thereof, may be described as an apparatus (e.g., a pump) that imparts work to and redirects a fluid, and that features an impeller configured to contact and redirect an impeller inflow along a toroidal flowpath to generate an impeller discharge that has both axial and tangential velocity components, where the axial velocity component is substantially 180 degrees relative to a direction of an impeller inflow, in a meridional plane, the apparatus also featuring a diffuser having a diffuser axis that is aligned with an impeller axis of rotation, the diffuser featuring a diffuser outlet annular radial size that is greater than a diffuser inlet annular radial size; and/or curved diffuser vanes established as part of the diffuser, that redirect the impeller discharge so as to reduce the tangential velocity components.

Electric Submersible Pump with Improved Gas Separator Performance in High Viscosity Applications
A downhole gas separator fluid mover assembly comprising a fluid mover having an inlet and an outlet, a separation device, a separation chamber, and a flow path separator located downstream of the fluid mover. The fluid mover comprising a centrifugal pump stage with an impeller and a diffuser moves production fluid comprising a high viscosity fluid portion and a gas portion to the separation device. The separation device produces a fluid motion that separates the gas phase from the liquid phase in response to the flow rate of production fluid from the fluid mover. A portion of the high viscosity fluid passes through the gas phase discharge port in response to the over-supply of high viscosity fluid to the liquid discharge port in response to the flow rate of the production fluid through the fluid mover.
DOWNHOLE CHEMICAL INJECTION METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR USE IN ESP APPLICATIONS
Provided is a chemical injection pump that is installed below an electric submersible pump. In general, the chemical injection pump is either driven by an electric motor that draws power from the electric submersible pump motor or from energized fluid leaving the electric submersible pump output port. The electric submersible pump provides electric or hydraulic power to run the chemical injection pump. Therefore, no surface chemical injection pump is required and hence less space is needed.

Scroll compressor
A scroll compressor is disclosed which prevents leakage of refrigerant from a compression chamber and abrasion of bearings between a rotating shaft and an orbiting scroll by reducing the tilting angle of the orbiting scroll, because the allowable bearing angle is equal to or larger than the tilting angle, where the allowable bearing angle θ refers to the maximum angle at which the orbiting scroll is tilted with respect to the rotating shaft, and the tilting angle β refers to the angle at which the orbiting scroll is tilted with respect to the plate.
Apparatus, system and method for pumping gaseous fluid
An apparatus, system and method for pumping gaseous fluid are described. The centrifugal pump of the invention homogenizes at least a portion of the gas and liquid contained in produced well fluid thereby improving the efficiency of the pump in electric submersible pump (ESP) applications and decreasing the downtime of the ESP system. The impeller of the invention comprises an increased inlet area. The centrifugal pump of the invention comprises a single shroud located on the bottom side of an impeller, an increased inlet area of the impeller and an increased clearance gap between the impeller and a diffuser. One or more truncated vanes extend substantially upstream from the single shroud, wherein each truncated vane sits at a mid-pitch location between untruncated vanes starting from the bottom side of the impeller.
