A second housing part (50), with a cover meshing projection (52), is positioned or can be positioned in a meshing manner in the cover meshing opening (46). The cover meshing opening (46) is sealed with the cover meshing projection (52) being positioned in a meshing manner in the cover meshing opening (46).

A communication hole that communicates the motor portion and the pump portion is provided on the facing groove. The communication hole extends in a direction along swirling flow formed by the vane grooves and the facing groove when the vortex pump is operating.

The small O-rings are configured and dimensioned so that one of the small O-rings serves to seal the vacuum port of the blower and that the other of the small O-rings serves to seal the pressure port of the blower, with the two small O-rings and bridge member and free ends of the main O-ring arranged to create a generally spectacle-like shape.
