A blower assembly having a blower housing, an impeller fan within the blower housing, the impeller fan being adapted for rotation about an axis and having a plurality of impeller blades and having an axial length, a motor having a stator and a rotor, the motor having an axial length, the rotor being configured to rotate relative to the stator for rotation about the axis, the rotor and the impeller fan being coupled so that the impeller fan rotates with the rotor about the axis, wherein a ratio of the axial length of the motor to the axial length of the impeller fan is less than 0.3, and a motor support bracket operatively securing the stator to one of the first and second side walls of the blower housing.
Electrical machine and methods of assembling the same
A fluid circulating assembly having a rotation axis is provided. The fluid circulating assembly includes a fan impeller including an inlet ring and a rear plate that together define a central fan chamber. The fluid circulating assembly also includes an electrical machine having a rotor assembly, a stator assembly, and at least one bearing assembly. The rotor assembly is coupled to the rear plate such that the electrical machine is located entirely outside the central fan chamber. The rotor assembly includes a hub portion having a radially inner wall that at least partially defines a central opening extending entirely through the electrical machine and oriented about the rotation axis such that the central opening does not include a shaft extending therethrough.
Integrated electro-hydraulic machine
An integrated electromechanical and hydraulic system is disclosed which includes an electric machine, the electric machine includes a casing, a stator adapted to remain stationary within the casing, one or more electrically insulated windings coupled to the stator, a rotor separated from the stator and the one or more windings by a radial diamagnetic gap, electrical power couplings, and a first mechanical power couplings, and a hydraulic machine also disposed in the housing, the hydraulic machine having hydro-mechanical couplings as well as a second mechanical power couplings, wherein the second mechanical power couplings are coupled to the first mechanical power couplings.
Motor assembly
A motor assembly includes an impeller, a first diffuser at a downstream side of the impeller, a second diffuser at a downstream side of the first diffuser, an impeller cover coupled to the second diffuser and accommodating the impeller and the first diffuser, and a motor provided at the downstream side of the second diffuser to drive the impeller. The second diffuser includes a hub, an outer wall concentrically disposed outside the hub, and a plurality of blades having one side connected to the hub and the other side connected to the outer wall. The impeller cover is coupled to the outer wall of the second diffuser. A communicating portion for allowing fluid communication between inside and outside of the hub of the second diffuser is provided at the hub of the second diffuser.

Described herein are appliances such as a vacuum cleaners having an air flow passage and a fan assembly provided in the air flow passage. The fan assembly includes (a) a first motor comprising a first rotor, a first stator, and a first rotatable output shaft drivingly connected to the first rotor; and (b) a second motor comprising a second rotor, a second stator, and a second rotatable output shaft drivingly connected to the second rotor. The first rotatable output shaft is driving connected to the second stator; and a fan blade drivingly connected to the second rotatable output shaft. Also described herein are methods of energizing a fan assembly of a portable appliance.

Described herein are appliances such as a vacuum cleaners having an air flow passage and a fan assembly provided in the air flow passage. The fan assembly includes (a) a first motor comprising a first rotor, a first stator, and a first rotatable output shaft drivingly connected to the first rotor; and (b) a second motor comprising a second rotor, a second stator, and a second rotatable output shaft drivingly connected to the second rotor. The first rotatable output shaft is driving connected to the second stator; and a fan blade drivingly connected to the second rotatable output shaft. Also described herein are methods of energizing a fan assembly of a portable appliance.
Slim-type stator, and single phase motor and cooling fan using same
Provided are a slim-type stator using a multilayer printed circuit board (PCB) capable of maximally generating torque in an opposite rotor and capable of increasing airflow, and a single-phase motor and a cooling fan using the same. The slim-type stator includes: a multilayer PCB; and a plurality of coil patterns formed on respective PCB layers of the multilayer PCB and connected via throughholes, wherein the multilayer PCB includes at least one protrusion corresponding to the plurality of coil patterns, and at least one recess disposed between the plurality of coil patterns.
Axial flux electric machine and methods of assembling the same
A stator assembly for use in an axial flux electric motor includes at least one tooth tip and at least one stator tooth coupled to the at least one tooth tip, wherein the at least one stator tooth includes an insertable portion. The stator assembly also includes at least one stator base including at least one receiving slot configured to receive the insertable portion to form a mechanical joint between the at least one stator base and the at least one stator tooth.

The invention relates to a side channel compressor (1) for a fuel cell system for conveying and/or compressing a gas, particularly hydrogen, comprising a housing (3) and a drive (6), wherein the housing (3) has a housing upper part (7) and a housing lower part (8), a compressor chamber (30) which is circulating in the housing (3) about an axis of rotation (4) and has at least one peripheral side channel (19), a compressor wheel (2) located in the housing (3), which is rotatably arranged about an axis of rotation (4) and is driven by the drive (6), said compressor wheel (2) comprising blades (5) arranged on the periphery thereof in the region of the compressor chamber (30), and comprising respectively a gas inlet opening (14) embodied on the housing (3) and a gas outlet opening (16) which are fluidically interconnected via the compressor chamber (30), in particular the at least one side channel (19). According to the invention, the drive (6) is designed as an axial field electric motor (6) which has a stator (12) and a rotor (10), wherein the stator (12) and the rotor (10) have a disc-shaped design and are formed so as to move about the axis of rotation (4), and wherein the stator (12) is arranged next to the rotor in the direction of the axis of rotation (4).
