Expandable impeller pump

An impeller includes a hub, and a plurality of blades supported by the hub, the blades being arranged in at least two blade rows. The impeller has a deployed configuration in which the blades extend away from the hub, and a stored configuration in which at least one of the blades is radially compressed, for example by folding the blade towards the hub. The impeller may also have an operational configuration in which at least some of the blades are deformed from the deployed configuration upon rotation of the impeller when in the deployed configuration. The outer edge of one or more blades may have a winglet, and the base of the blades may have an associated indentation to facilitate folding of the blades.

A distal-tip element defines a straight proximal portion that defines a longitudinal axis, and a curved distal portion that is shaped such as to curve in a first direction with respect to the longitudinal axis before passing through an inflection point and curving in a second direction with respect to the longitudinal axis, such that the curved distal portion defines a bulge on one side of the longitudinal axis. An axial fan includes a hub having a rotation shaft and configured to be driven to rotate and blades provided to the hub. The blades each have a front edge portion and a rear edge portion. A first blade section is a section of a portion between the front edge portion and the rear edge portion of each of the blades along a direction in which the blades rotate, and the first blade section is an area of each of the blades that is further inward than an outer periphery edge portion that is a most radially outer periphery in each of the blades. In the first blade section, the blades each have a projection portion and a first recess portion. The projection portion projects from a portion of a pressure surface of each of the blades. The first recess portion recedes from a portion of the pressure surface that is between the projection portion and the rear edge portion. The projection portion has a projection top that is a top of the projection portion and is closer to the rear edge portion than is a center between the front edge portion and the rear edge portion in the first blade section.

A system detects when at least one of the files is classified by a user of a client computing system as a classified file, and based on the detecting of the classification of the one or more files, each classified file is removed from the client computing system. The system further detects when at least one of the files is declared as a permanent record by the user of the client computing system, and based on the detecting of the declaration as a permanent record, prevents editing by the client computing system of each file declared as a permanent record.

IMPLELLER AND FRAME FOR A BLOOD PUMP

Apparatus and methods are described including a blood pump that includes an impeller configured to pump blood through a subject's body, and a frame disposed around the impeller. In a radially-non-constrained configuration of the frame, the frame defines a proximal conical portion and a cylindrical portion disposed distally to the proximal conical portion. During operation of the blood pump, the impeller moves with respect to the frame, and a range of movement of the impeller is such that at least a first portion of the impeller is disposed within the proximal conical portion of the frame during at least some of the operation of the blood pump, and at least a second portion of the impeller is disposed within the cylindrical portion of the frame during at least some of the operation of the blood pump. Apparatus and methods are described including a blood pump that includes an impeller configured to pump blood through a subject's body, and a frame disposed around the impeller. The frame defines struts having a structure that is such that, as the frame transitions from a proximal end of the frame toward a center of the frame, the struts pass through junctions, at which the two struts branch from a single strut, in a Y-shape. The structure of the struts of the frame is configured such that, in response to a distal end of a delivery catheter and the frame being moved into overlapping positions with respect to each other, the frame assumes a radially-constrained configuration by becoming axially elongated, and the frame causes the impeller to assume a radially-constrained configuration by becoming axially elongated.
