BLOWER APPARATUS
This blower apparatus includes an air blowing portion including a plurality of flat plates; a motor portion; and a housing. The housing includes an air inlet and an air outlet. At least one of the flat plates includes an inner annular portion, an outer annular portion arranged radially outside of the inner annular portion, ribs each of which is arranged to join the inner and outer annular portions to each other, and air holes each of which is surrounded by the inner and outer annular portions and circumferentially adjacent ones of the ribs. With the inner annular portion and the outer annular portion being joined to each other through the ribs, an increase in the opening area of each air hole, which is defined between the inner and outer annular portions, can be achieved. This leads to improved air intake efficiency, resulting in improved air blowing efficiency.
Water Treatment System and Method
The invention in at least one embodiment includes a system for treating water having an intake module, a vortex module, a disk-pack module, and a motor module. In a further embodiment, a housing is provided over at least the intake module and the vortex module and sits above the disk-pack module. In at least one further embodiment, the disk-pack module includes a disk-pack turbine having a plurality of disks having at least one waveform present on at least one of the disks.
System and method for continuous solids slurry depressurization
A continuous slag processing system includes a rotating parallel disc pump, coupled to a motor and a brake. The rotating parallel disc pump includes opposing discs coupled to a shaft, an outlet configured to continuously receive a fluid at a first pressure, and an inlet configured to continuously discharge the fluid at a second pressure less than the first pressure. The rotating parallel disc pump is configurable in a reverse-acting pump mode and a letdown turbine mode. The motor is configured to drive the opposing discs about the shaft and against a flow of the fluid to control a difference between the first pressure and the second pressure in the reverse-acting pump mode. The brake is configured to resist rotation of the opposing discs about the shaft to control the difference between the first pressure and the second pressure in the letdown turbine mode.
Two piece impeller centrifugal pump
A two piece impeller centrifugal pump comprising two halves of an impeller facing each other within a volute, a housing having two sides, one side adjacent each impeller half and having an inlet and an outlet, a motor mounted on the housing, the motor driving both impeller halves, for pumping fluid or material from the inlet to the outlet, the housing and the impeller halves having a sealing surface where they contact each other, the centrifugal force of the impeller forcing the fluid or material outward, pushing the two impeller halves outward against the housing.
Water Dissociation System
A system and method are provided in at least one embodiment to process water to produce gas that can be separated into at least two gas flows using a water treatment system having a disk-pack rotating in it to cause out gassing from the water. In a further embodiment, the method and system use the gas released from the water to produce substantially fresh water from the processed salt water.
Retrofit Attachments for Water Treatment Systems
In at least one embodiment, the invention provides a retrofit for existing water treatment systems where the retrofit includes at least one of the following: a particulate separator, a supplementary inlet, and a waveform disk-pack turbine. In a further embodiment, the invention includes a water treatment system combined with at least one of the following: a particulate separator, a supplementary inlet, and a waveform disk-pack turbine.
Water Processing System and Arrangement
The invention in at least one embodiment includes a system for treating water having an intake module, a vortex module, a disk-pack module, and a motor module where the intake module is above the vortex module, which is above the disk-pack module and the motor module. In a further embodiment, a housing is provided over at least the intake module and the vortex module and sits above the disk-pack module. In at least one further embodiment, the disk-pack module includes a disk-pack turbine having a plurality of disks having at least one waveform present on at least one of the disks.
Turbo-engine, particularly internal combustion engine
The invention is directed to a turbo-engine, particularly internal combustion engine, comprising a housing and therein a bladeless turbine section (30; 42; 67) of the stacked disc- or Tesla-type construction, wherein the turbine section (30; 42; 67) has a plurality of closely spaced discs (32; 49; 61) arranged for common rotation about a rotation axis in the housing, said turbine section (30; 42; 67) is adapted for passing with tangential flow components a working fluid stream from a radially inner region to a radially outer region of said turbine section (30; 42; 67) while adopting energy from said working fluid stream for rotating the discs (30; 49; 61). Preferably, the turbo-engine further comprises a compressor section (40; 66) of the stacked disc- or Tesla-type construction having a plurality of closely spaced discs (45; 61) arranged for common rotation about said rotation axis and a combustion zone (41; 64), wherein said compressor section (40; 66) being arranged coaxially with—and radially inwardly of the turbine section (30; 42; 67) with the combustion zone (41; 64) provided radially between the compressor section and the turbine section.
Boundary layer turbomachine
A boundary layer turbomachine can include a housing defining an interior space and having an inlet opening and an outlet opening to facilitate movement of a fluid through the housing. The boundary layer turbomachine can also include a rotor assembly disposed in the rotor chamber and configured to rotate about an axis of rotation. The rotor assembly can have a plurality of disks spaced apart along the axis of rotation and defining an interior opening along the axis of rotation. The fluid can pass through gaps between the disks and the interior opening as the fluid moves through the housing.
Gas production method using water as the source
A system and method are provided in at least one embodiment to process water to produce gas that can be separated into at least two gas flows using a water treatment system having a disk-pack rotating in it to cause out gassing from the water.
