Priming systems and infusion assemblies are provided. For example, a priming system comprises a priming conduit having a priming portion and a pressure portion. The priming portion is in fluid communication with a first fluid source, with an inlet and an outlet for ingress and egress of a first fluid from the first fluid source. The pressure portion is in fluid communication with a second fluid source connected by a connector. Disposed within the priming conduit are a biasing member and a valve having an open position and a closed position. The biasing member is in operable communication with the valve to urge the valve into the closed position such that the valve defaults to the closed position. The open position allows the first fluid to flow from the inlet to the outlet and the closed position prevents the first fluid from flowing from the inlet to the outlet.

Quick startup device for centrifugal pump

The present invention provides a quick startup device for a centrifugal pump. The device includes an upper self-priming chamber, a lower self-priming chamber, and an inlet pipe sequentially arranged from top to bottom. The upper self-priming chamber and the lower self-priming chamber are integrally mounted on the inlet pipe. A main shaft and a hexagonal partition member rotatably mounted on the main shaft are arranged on an axis of the upper self-priming chamber. A blade tip of each partition plate is closely attached to an inner wall surface of the upper self-priming chamber. Three identical accommodation grooves are provided on an inner side of the upper self-priming chamber. A spring and a separation baffle are arranged in each accommodation groove, an exhaust hole is provided on one side of each accommodation groove, and an air intake pipe is provided on the other side of each accommodation groove.

Fuel pump with vapor purge valve assembly

A fuel pump includes a housing which is tubular; an inlet plate closes one end of the housing and an end cap closes the other end of the housing. The end cap includes an outlet passage and a vapor purge passage. An electric motor within the housing rotates a pumping element to pump fuel through the fuel pump. A valve assembly of the fuel pump includes a valve member located within the purge passage, the valve member being moveable between a first position which blocks fluid communication therethrough and a second position which provides fluid communication therethrough. A valve retainer fixed to the end cap includes a first leg, a second leg which is opposed to the first leg, and a cross-beam which joins the first leg and the second leg. The valve member is stopped by the cross-beam at the second position.

A turbo pump vent assembly and method are disclosed. The turbo pump vent assembly comprises: a primary manual actuator operable to deliver an initial volume of air to a turbo pump; and a secondary manual actuator operable to deliver a secondary volume of air to the turbo pump, wherein the secondary volume of air is greater than the initial volume of air. In this way, an uncomplex and reliable vent is provided which can deliver initial volumes of air to slow the turbo pump initially. Thereafter, the secondary volume of air may be delivered to slow the turbo pump more rapidly than is possible just using further initial volumes of air. Having an apparatus which can deliver differing volumes of air enables the turbo pump to be slowed safely and more quickly than is possible by delivering just the same sized volumes of air.

Each horizontal pump assembly includes a pump having an intake exposed to the reservoir and an outlet in the continuous flow path, and a fluidseeker which has an inner conduit forming the continuous flow path and defining an inlet chamber, and including an axially rotatable inlet extension disposed in the inlet chamber. The inlet extension has a weighted keel defining inlet ports which are in fluid communication with the inlet chamber and a fluid inlet for the pump.

SELF-ORIENTING GAS EVADING INTAKE FOR SUBMERSIBLE PUMPS

A self-orienting gas evading intake for a submersible pump provides an efficient, reliable and inexpensive system for pumping a downhole fluid to a surface. An intake section of a submersible pumping system may comprise a blocker sleeve disposed between an external housing and an eccentric intake. The intake section may be self-orienting such that a gas component of the fluid ascends the borehole to separate from a liquid component of the fluid. Actuation of a blocker sleeve exposes one or more ports of the external housing while blocking one or more other ports. The liquid component is drawn into the intake section through an exposed port and through one or more openings of the eccentric intake. The liquid component may then be drawn into the pump. As the liquid component comprises non-detrimental amounts, if any, of a gas component, the pump operates efficiently and effectively.
