Turbine housing for a turbocharger of an internal combustion engine, and turbocharger
A turbine housing for a turbocharger of an internal combustion engine includes an annular duct for conducting an exhaust-gas mass flow to a turbine wheel to be disposed in the turbine housing and an exhaust-gas discharge duct for discharging the exhaust-gas mass flow from the turbine housing after impinging on the turbine wheel. An insulating element is respectively disposed in a region of an inner wall of the annular duct and in a region of an inner wall of the exhaust-gas discharge duct. A turbocharger having the turbine housing is also provided.
SHAPE MEMORY BASED ACTUATOR
An actuator includes a strand of shape memory material having a length that is variable between a first length corresponding to an undeformed state and a second length corresponding to a state of lengthwise deformation. The strand is arranged to return to the undeformed state when it is heated to a predetermined temperature. The strand includes a fixed end and a mobile end arranged to move between a first and a second position when the variable length of the SMM strand changes. The actuator further includes a heating wire coiled around the strand for heating the strand, the coiled heating wire forming a circular helix, the uniform slope of which is selected so as to avoid any substantial change of the arc length of the circular helix caused by the strand changing its length.
Vacuum pump
To provide a vacuum pump capable of heating only a flow channel extending from the vicinity of an exit of a thread groove exhaust flow channel toward an outlet port and prevents the accumulation of a product that is caused by a decrease in the temperature of process gas near the exit of the thread groove exhaust flow channel and the flow channel. A vacuum pump has a thread groove exhaust portion that has thread groove exhaust flow channels at least in respective parts of portions on inner and outer circumferential sides of a rotor (rotating body), a casing enclosing the thread groove exhaust portion, an outlet port for exhausting gas compressed by the thread groove exhaust portion to the outside of the casing, and a partition wall that covers a flow channel extending from the exits of the thread groove exhaust flow channels toward the outlet port.
Heat dissipation retaining structure for heat production device, installation method thereof, and wind turbine generator set
A heat dissipation retaining structure for a heat production device, an installation method thereof, and a wind turbine generator set. The heat dissipation retaining structure includes a retaining structure body for defining a middle space, and a thermal radiation absorption coating, a heat insulating material, or an infrared low-emissivity and high-reflectivity material is at least partially applied to an inner wall of the retaining structure body. The air temperature of the environment in the retaining structure is actively decreased by the foregoing structure under the conditions that noise is avoided, environmental friendliness is achieved, external power is omitted, and energy consumption is zero, thereby decreasing the temperature of the heat production device, and ensuring that the heat production device works at the allowable normal temperature for a long time.
TURBINE AND TURBOCHARGER INCLUDING THE SAME
A turbine includes a turbine impeller, a turbine housing disposed so as to cover the turbine impeller and internally forming a scroll flow passage through which an exhaust gas flows, and a throat forming portion which is provided as a separate piece from the turbine housing. The throat forming portion is disposed to face a section of the turbine housing and forms a hub-side wall surface of a throat portion of the scroll flow passage in an axial direction, the section forming a shroud-side wall surface of the throat portion.
VACUUM PUMP
A vacuum pump capable of suppressing the solidification of gas in a normal operation of a pump is provided. Provided is a vacuum pump including a casing that has an inlet port for sucking gas from outside and an outlet port for exhausting the gas to the outside; a turbo-molecular-pump mechanism that is disposed in the casing and includes rotor blades and stator blades alternately arranged in multiple stages in an axial direction; a thread-groove-pump mechanism that is disposed in the casing and is connectedly disposed on an exhaust side of the turbo-molecular-pump mechanism; first temperature regulating means that is configured to regulate cooling of the turbo-molecular-pump mechanism; and second temperature regulating means that is configured to regulate heating of the thread-groove-pump mechanism.
Fire protection of a part made of a three-dimensional woven composite material
The invention relates to a method for fire protection (S) of a part (1) of a gas-turbine engine made of a composite material comprising a main fibrous reinforcement compregnated by a main matrix, the protection method (S) comprising the following steps: preforming (S1) a panel of prepreg (20) such as to grant same a shape corresponding to the shape of a surface (3) of the part (1) to be protected against fire, said panel of prepreg (20) comprising a secondary fibrous reinforcement compregnated by a secondary matrix; applying (S2) the panel of prepreg (20) thus preformed to the part (1); and securing (S3) the panel of prepreg (20) to the surface (3) by thermal treatment of the part (1) provided with said panel of prepreg (20) in order to obtain a fire-protection layer (2).
COMPRESSOR WHEEL AND SUPERCHARGER
A compressor wheel includes a compressor wheel body, and a thermal insulating coating layer disposed so as to cover at least a part of a back surface of the compressor wheel body.
