Power Control System
A power control system for a forestry machine may include an engine control module and a pump control module. The engine control module may be configured to control an engine speed of an engine of the forestry machine. The engine speed may be limited in accordance with a maximum engine speed. The pump control module may determine whether a first function of the forestry machine is activated, determine whether a sensed pressure of a pump associated with the first function is greater than or equal to a high pressure setpoint, and output a control signal indicating a request for a power increase in response to determining that the first function is activated and the sensed pressure is greater than or equal to the high pressure setpoint. The engine control module may increase the maximum engine speed in response to the request for the power increase from the pump control module.
CONTROLLER AND METHOD FOR HYDRAULIC APPARATUS
The present invention provides a controller for a hydraulic apparatus. The controller is configured to determine (410) that a mode change criteria has been met for the hydraulic apparatus. In response to the determination, the controller is configured to control (420) a valve arrangement to change a first actuator chamber of a hydraulic actuator between being fluidly connected to a hydraulic machine and fluidly isolated from a second chamber of the hydraulic actuator, and being fluidly connected to both the second actuator chamber and the hydraulic machine. Further in response to the determination, the controller is configured to control (430) the hydraulic machine to change a flow rate of hydraulic fluid flowing through the hydraulic machine to regulate a movement of the hydraulic actuator during the control of the valve arrangement.
Engine overload prevention using a speed differential operated relief valve
A working vehicle provided with a fixed-capacity hydraulic pump driven by power from an engine and a working hydraulic actuator driven by working oil pumped from the fixed-capacity hydraulic pump is a rotary working vehicle which is provided with an electromagnetic relief valve for modifying the pressure of working oil from the fixed-capacity hydraulic pump, and the rotary working vehicle is such that if the actual number of revolutions (N) of the engine is reduced by a set number of revolutions (Ns) as the load on the engine increases, then the electromagnetic relief valve operates in accordance with the deviation (e) between the actual number of revolutions (N) of the engine and the specified number of revolutions (Ns), and the pressure of the working oil from the fixed-capacity hydraulic pump is modified.
Variable hydraulic pressure relief systems and methods for a material handling vehicle
A method of controlling a hydraulic control system of a material handling vehicle is provided. The method includes detecting an elevated height of a fork assembly, determining if the elevated height is above a first predetermined height threshold, and actuating a first low pressure control valve from a control valve closed position to a control valve open position to provide fluid communication from a supply passage to the first low pressure relief valve when the elevated height is above a first predetermined height threshold.
Hydraulic system having a drain bypass
A hydraulic system including a first cylinder conduit configured to couple to a cylinder, an auxiliary conduit configured to couple to a case drain conduit, and a pressure regulator coupled to the first cylinder conduit and to the auxiliary conduit. The pressure regulator may block fluid flow to the auxiliary conduit if a first fluid pressure is less than or equal to a threshold pressure and enable fluid flow if the first fluid pressure is greater than the threshold pressure. The hydraulic system further includes a supplemental conduit with a check valve that directs fluid from the auxiliary conduit to a reservoir. The check valve blocks fluid flow if a second fluid pressure is less than or equal to a third fluid pressure, and enables fluid flow if the second fluid pressure greater than the third fluid pressure.
Electrically driven hydraulic construction machine
To reduce an increase in the electric power consumption of an electric motor according to the state of an electric power source at the start of driving of an actuator, and make it possible to use devices in an appropriate state in an electrically driven hydraulic construction machine including a driving system that drives a hydraulic pump by using the electric motor. For this purpose, a controller 50 sets a target relief pressure of a relief valve 3 to a normal relief pressure Pn (first relief pressure) when an operation lever device 44 is not being operated and a storage amount SOC(t) of a battery 62 (the state quantity of an electric power source) is equal to or larger than a threshold S1, and sets the target relief pressure to a reduced relief pressure Pr(t) (second relief pressure) lower than the normal relief pressure Pn (first relief pressure) when the operation lever device 44 is not being operated, and the storage amount SOC(t) of the battery 62 (the state quantity of the electric power source) is smaller than the threshold S1.
