FLEXIBLE FLUID FLOW MODIFYING DEVICE
Disclosed fluid flow modifying devices are useful with flexible fluid flow conduits. Such devices are adapted for mitigating adverse flow considerations arising from one or more bends in flexible fluid flow conduits. These adverse flow considerations are generally characterized as enhanced laminar flow and associated increased backpressure arising from reduced flow velocity caused by the one or more bends. Beneficially, disclosed fluid flow modifying devices cause flow of flowable material (e.g., a liquid) within a flow passage of a fluid flow conduit to have a rotational flow profile. Such a rotational flow profile advantageously reduces frictional losses associated with laminar flow and with directional change of fluid flow.
FLOW RESTRICTOR FOR FLUID FLOW DEVICE
A flow restrictor is provided, comprising a first sheet including a flow passage, and a second sheet stacked on the first sheet. A hole is provided in a center of the second sheet. The flow passage includes a groove cut into a surface of the first sheet that communicates with an expansion zone at a peripheral area of the first sheet. A peripheral edge of the second sheet contacts the first sheet in the expansion zone between an inner diameter and an outer diameter of the expansion zone.
Air handling system for a climate control system in an delimited space, climate control system for climate control in an delimited space, modular unit comprising a delimited space and climate control system and an assembly of modular units
Air handling system for a climate control system in a housing that includes at least a delimited space with controlled environment, CE space. The air handling system includes an air handling unit, AHU, a pipe system and a perforated plate assembly. The pipe system includes a branched tree-like structure of conduits, that branches in the direction from the air handling unit towards the perforated plate assembly for homogenous distribution of air over the perforated plate assembly such that the air flow through the perforated plate assembly into the CE space is an air flow under laminar flow conditions. Also, a climate system for climate control in such a delimited space, a modular unit including such a delimited space and such a climate system, and an assembly of modular units.
Flow control insert for an agent distribution system
A flow control insert includes a main body that is shaped as a cylinder, is hollow, and includes an opening at a first end and at a second end, opposite the first end, along an axial length of the cylinder. An outer surface of the main body includes threading to screw into complementary threading on an inner surface of a pipe configured to flow an agent. The flow control insert also includes a diverter within the main body or extending from the first end of the main body. The diverter controls a mass split of the agent or flow energy of the agent flowing in the pipe.

ADDITIVE MANUFACTURED LIQUID MANIFOLD WITH ORIFICE
A low-profile fluid manifold includes a tunable passive flow control system through intricate internal flow channels. The low-profile fluid manifold is manufactured using stereolithography (SLA) additive manufacturing to rapidly produce and tune the intricate flow channels to achieve the desired flow characteristics. Further, SLA additive manufacturing is used to build up inlet and outlet orifices in the flow direction, creating sealing surfaces for parallel oriented seals and sealing surfaces. The low-profile fluid manifold is manufactured to be air and liquid tight at the required operating pressures, temperatures, and environments, without the use of traditional fittings.
Wave producing method and apparatus
A method and apparatus for generating a wave in a body of water may include altering a flow of water as it is urged through an inlet, contoured passage, and outlet. For example, a primary flow of water may be altered so that one or more secondary flows are created at angles to the direction of primary flow.
Flow control nozzle and system
A flow control system includes a nozzle for controlling the flow of fluids into production tubing from a hydrocarbon containing reservoir. The nozzle comprises a passage extending between an inlet and an outlet, wherein the passage comprises converging and diverging sections separated by a corner. The nozzle serves to effectively choke the flow of steam and thereby allows preferential production of hydrocarbons.
FLUID SYSTEMS AND METHODS THAT ADDRESS FLOW SEPARATION
Fluid systems and methods for addressing fluid separation are described. An example fluid system includes a main body and a fluid pressurizer. The main body has a first portion, a second portion, an injection opening, a suction opening, a channel that extends from the suction opening to the injection opening, and a side wall. The first portion has a first axis that extends along the side wall. The second portion has a second axis that extends along the side wall at an angle relative to the first axis such that when fluid flows over the main body flow separation is defined adjacent to the second portion. The injection opening is disposed at a first location relative to said flow separation. The suction opening is disposed at a second location relative to said flow separation. The channel extends from the suction opening to the injection opening.
Baffle assembly for modifying transitional flow effects between different cavities
A baffle assembly and burner including the baffle assembly. The baffle assembly includes a collar having a central axis. A plurality of vanes are secured to the collar. Each vane includes a leg extending from the collar at a first angle with respect to the central axis. The first angle of the leg is configured to impart rotation to a flow of fluid through the baffle assembly. An impingement plate extends from the leg at a second angle with respect to the central axis. The second angle is greater than the first angle.
