DOWEL PIN FOR EASY ASSEMBY AND HIGH ACCURACY
20220090617 · 2022-03-24 · ·

A dowel pin (1) according to a first aspect with a cylindrical body (4). The cylindrical body (4) is divided into first and second parts (2,3). The first part (2) is movably connected to the second part (3) allowing only relative transverse movement between the first and second parts (2,3). According to a second aspect, the dowel pin (1) comprises a cylindrical circumferential surface (5) and first and second longitudinal ends. The circumferential surface (5) comprises a first plurality of primary radially lifted contact areas (33) at a first distance D1 from the first longitudinal end and a second distance D2 from the second longitudinal end, with D1 being less than D2, and a second plurality of secondary lifted contact areas (35,36) at a third distance D3 from the first longitudinal end and a fourth distance D4 from the second longitudinal end, D3 being larger than D4.

EXPANSION-TYPE ANCHOR, SLEEVE USED IN SAME, AND CONSTRUCTION METHOD
20210324893 · 2021-10-21 ·

Provided is an expansion-type anchor with excellent pull-out strength. The anchor comprises an anchor body 1 that has an expansion section 3 split by an inner slit 2, and a sleeve 9 to enclose and hold the expansion section 3 of the anchor body 1. The sleeve 9 is split into a plurality of follower expansion sections by an outer main slit 10 and an outer auxiliary slit 11. A group of balls 4 is disposed inside the anchor body 1, and the expansion section 3 expands into a tapered shape when the group of balls 4 is pressed by an expansion bolt 6. When a pull-out force is applied to the anchor body 1, the sleeve 9 does not retract and deforms by expanding after the retraction of the anchor body 1. As a result, the anchor body 1 is prevented from retracting by way of the sleeve 9 being sandwiched between a prepared hole 13 and the expansion section 3.

Arranging a composite element at a component

Disclosed here is a method for arranging at least one composite element at a component. The composite element includes a sleeve element and an insert element. The method involves: arranging the sleeve element in a bore of the component; connecting the sleeve element and the insert element so that a composite element is formed; inserting an engagement apparatus in the composite element, wherein the engagement apparatus aligns and/or assembles the sleeve element and the insert element to each other. Also disclosed here is use of an engagement apparatus and at least one composite element for arranging the composite element at a component. The at least one composite element includes a sleeve element and an insert element. The engagement apparatus aligns and/or assembles the sleeve element and the insert element to each other.

Locking dowel assembly

A locking dowel assembly for joining wooden objects without glue or screws includes a pair of cups. Each of the cups is inserted into a well in a respective pair of objects intended for joining together. A pair of inserts is provided and each of the inserts is positioned against each other such that the pair of inserts forms a cylinder. The cylinder is inserted into each of the cups for joining the objects together. A retainer is positioned between each of the inserts and the retainer has a plurality of teeth thereon. The teeth engage the cups when the insert is inserted into each of the cups thereby retaining the inserts in the cups.

Undercut anchor, undercut anchor manufacturing method, and anchoring method

In certain embodiments, the present disclosure provides an undercut anchor including an attachment barrel and a cylindrical plug positioned in and moveable in the attachment barrel. The attachment barrel includes a cylindrical body, an outer rim extending outwardly and away from a bottom end of the body, and a plurality of independently pivotable gripping arms extending from a top end of the body.

Fastener

A fastener includes a main body having a tubular portion and a split portion that extends from a lower end of the tubular portion, and longitudinally includes a tapered section that tapers in a direction towards the tubular portion. The fastener further includes an expansion sleeve annularly surrounding the split portion, wherein the expansion sleeve longitudinally extends to a lower end of the tapered section.

PUSHED-IN LOCKING/ANCHORING SYSTEM FOR CONNECTING ADJACENT STRUCTURE FORMING MEMBERS
20210079941 · 2021-03-18 ·

A pushed-in place locking system that connects adjacent structure forming members including a locking housing and an internal core operably associated therewith. The locking housing has a first segment and a second segment. The first segment has a first expanding section, a second expanding section and an elongated slot disposed therebetween. The elongated slot extends through the first segment. The first segment has a breakable connecting member connecting adjacent terminal ends of the first and second expanding sections. The locking system is configured such that the internal core is initially inserted into the second segment and subsequently into the first segment, wherein the breakable connecting member breaks as the internal core extends into the first segment a predetermined distance and the first expanding section and the second expanding section expand outwardly to anchor the first segment in the internal bore formed in a first structure forming member.
