ROLL CONNECTION
A method and an equipment permitting to optimally handle and support a roll made of at least an inert material and transfer the torque from a bearing to a roll or the other way around without damaging them, the roll and bearing being immersed in molten metal.
Plastics sliding element with sensor function, in particular with wear detection
A plastic sliding component for mounting without lubricant in a sliding bearing is proposed, having a moulded part which is manufactured from plastic and has a sliding face for movably guiding two bearing parts relative to one another. An electric function circuit with a sensor function for acquiring an operating parameter is arranged on the moulded part. The invention proposes that the function circuit comprises at least one conductor track structure which is formed on the moulded part as a carrier of the conductor track structure. The function circuit can preferably be applied to the prefabricated moulded part, which is made of plastic, by means of an additive fabrication method (AM method).
Device and Method for Operating a Rotary Vessel
A method for operating a rotary vessel which monitors the position of the tire relative to the upper and lower thrust bearings and the temperature of the upper and lower thrust bearings and provides an output that alerts an operator when corrective action should be taken.
CYLINDER HEAD COVER
A cylinder head cover of plastic for covering a cylinder head of an internal combustion engine is disclosed. The cylinder head cover includes a bearing track including at least two bearing points each having a bearing opening for supporting a camshaft. A bearing ring is provided in at least one of at least one bearing point and a bearing opening. The bearing ring is injected into the plastic of the cylinder head cover. An oil duct that leads to at least one of the two bearing points and serves for bearing lubrication is arranged in the cylinder head cover.
Model-based method and system for monitoring the condition of a sliding bearing, particularly for wind turbines
A method for monitoring a condition of a sliding bearing operated with lubricating oil for a rotating component includes calculating, by a control unit as an output variable of a sliding bearing model, a calculated value of a minimum gap thickness of the sliding bearing. The calculated value is calculated by orbit analysis from at least one physical sliding bearing model to which at least a rotational speed of the rotating component, a bearing load, and a temperature of the sliding bearing are supplied as input variables. The method further includes measuring, with at least one sensor, a minimum gap thickness to provide a measured value of the minimum gap thickness, and comparing the measured value of the minimum gap thickness with the calculated value of the minimum gap thickness for the purpose of adjustment.
Plain bearing, plastics sliding element, system and method for wear detection
Wear detection in a plain bearing is proposed, with a first component comprising at least one sliding element of plastics material, which has a sliding surface for mobile guidance of a second component relative to the first component. The first component, in particular the sliding element, has a device for detecting wear in a critical region of the sliding element, in particular at the sliding surface thereof, with a transponder and with a detector element which cooperates with the transponder and is arranged on the sliding element. The detector element changes the behavior of the transponder when a predetermined degree of wear is reached in the critical region of the plastics sliding element, such that the wear-induced change is wirelessly detectable. The system and detection method are particularly advantageous for plain bearings for a lubricant-free bearing arrangement.
Friction design method and surface roughness control method for sliding member and production method for sliding mechanism
Provided is a friction design method capable of estimating sliding friction generated between mutual sliding surfaces of two sliding members lubricated with lubricant with high precision. The friction design method sets a friction coefficient μ in a sliding surface model corresponding to mutual sliding surfaces of two sliding members (2 and 3) lubricated with lubricant (step S1), and, based on a correlation between the friction coefficient μ and an oil film parameter (Λ(Rk) or Λ(Rk+Rpk)) calculated using a core portion level difference (Rk) or a sum of the core portion level difference (Rk) and reduced peak height (Rpk) as a parameter representing surface roughness in the sliding surface model (step S2), sets a target value for surface roughness of the sliding surfaces required to be controlled as a product (steps S3 to S6).
Fault frequency matching of periodic peaks in spectral machine data
A computer-implemented method analyzes periodic information in digital vibration data associated with a machine. The method involves generating a spectral periodic information plot (PIP) based on the digital vibration data, and locating amplitude peaks in the PIP at frequencies associated with fundamental frequencies of interest. Peaks occurring at fundamental fault frequencies and at related harmonic frequencies are removed from the PIP, while retaining energy values associated with the removed peaks. Remaining peaks in the PIP are classified as synchronous periodic peaks and non-synchronous periodic peaks. The remaining peaks in the PIP are graphically plotted along with the fault frequencies and related harmonic frequencies in different colors or different line styles on a display device to identify different groups of frequencies of interest. The method implements an algorithm that locates peaks in the PIP at frequencies associated with the fundamental frequencies of interest even though frequencies of the located peaks do not precisely match the fundamental frequencies of interest.
