Fixed Rolling Element Bearing Assembly
The invention provides a fixed rolling element bearing assembly comprising: a housing; an inner race for attaching to a rotating shaft; a cage and rolling element assembly positioned around the inner race; first and second positional locators for positioning the cage and rolling element assembly between inner edges thereof; a thrustwasher adjacent an outer edge of either of the first or second positional locator and fixably connected to the housing.
Rotating control device having a partition seal assembly
A rotating control device (RCD) which partitions the rotating speed of an inner barrel relative to a rotary and stationary seal via a roller bearing assembly. The roller bearing assembly causes the rotary seal to rotate at near half the speed, or portion of the speed thereof, of the inner barrel. Alternatively, a rotary seal assembly is rotatable by frictional contact with the inner barrel, and a stationary seal assembly is in frictional contact with the rotary seal assembly to prevent the rotary seal assembly from rotating at the same speed as the inner barrel. The speed differential between the inner barrel and the rotary seal, as well as between the rotary seal and the stationary seal is reduced by nearly half, which reduces wear and increases performance life of each seal.
Ball bearing comprising a cage provided with a wire and a seal
A ball bearing that provides an inner race, an outer race, at least one row of balls and at least one cage for spacing apart the row of balls and having a wire extending inside a rolling space delimited by the outer race and the inner race. The bearing also provides at least one seal that includes coupling means for fastening to the wire of the cage.
Bearing having a cage provided with a wire and a seal
The bearing provides an inner race, an outer race, at least one row of rolling elements, and at least one cage for spacing apart the row of rolling elements. The bearing further provides at least one seal that includes means for hooking which are configured to permit the retention of the seal on the cage in at least two predetermined axial hooking positions relative to the outer and inner races.
Bearing structure
An outer-ring-equivalent component having an annular raceway surface on which rolling elements roll is disposed on an outer circumference of a bearing. The bearing is, for example, a retainer-equipped roller. Between the bearing and a fixed member located apart from the bearing in an axial direction, a thrust washer is interposed so as to be movable in the axial direction. A gap forming device is provided which constantly forms a gap between the thrust washer and the outer-ring-equivalent component. For example, as the gap forming device, an axial width of the bearing is made larger than an axial width of the outer-ring-equivalent component.
Sealing sleeve with combined axial bearing and automatic transmission or clutch with such a sealing sleeve
A sealing sleeve for a transmission or a clutch of a motor vehicle for use between two torque transmitting devices, which rotate relative to each other, wherein a shell surface of the sealing sleeve is designed for making contact in a sliding and sealing manner with one or more sealing means; and a flange section, which projects radially from the shell surface, is designed for interpositioning between the two torque transmitting devices, wherein the flange section is formed as a running surface for an axial bearing. An automatic transmission or a clutch with a first torque transmitting device and a second torque transmitting device, between which an inventive sealing sleeve is inserted.
Cage for a bearing assembly and manufacturing method
A method for producing an annular-shaped cage for a rolling bearing assembly. The method comprises steps of: (a) providing a workpiece contained in a plane having a first side and a second side; (b) forming an annular-shaped cage from the workpiece, the annular-shaped cage having a U-shaped cross section such that portions of the first side of the workpiece face each other; and (c) forming a plurality of windows in the workpiece for receiving and positioning a set of rolling elements.
