Tool Holder Having Anti-Vibration Arrangement And Coolant Channel, and Cutting Tool Provided with Tool Holder
20230076841 · 2023-03-09 · ·

An elongated tool holder includes a mass housing portion having a housing peripheral surface, an outer sleeve having a sleeve hole wall surface, and an anti-vibration arrangement. An elongated groove is formed in one of the housing peripheral surface and the sleeve hole wall surface. In an assembled state of the tool holder, the groove, which is located at a common interface of the housing peripheral surface and the sleeve hole wall surface, forms a groove coolant channel. The groove coolant channel forms part of an overall tool holder coolant channel which is spaced apart from the anti-vibration arrangement, and thus isolates the coolant from the anti-vibration arrangement. A cutting tool incorporates the tool holder.

A rubber composition for anti-vibration rubber comprising, based on 100 parts by weight of ethylene-propylene-diene-based copolymer rubber (EPDM): (A) 32 to 60 parts by weight of carbon black A having an average particle diameter of 60 to 100 nm, an iodine absorption amount of 14 to 23 g/kg, and a DBP oil absorption amount of 100 ml/100 g or more; (B) 10 to 30 parts by weight of carbon black B having an average particle diameter of 40 to 50 nm, an iodine absorption amount of 35 to 49 g/kg, and a DBP oil absorption amount of 100 to 160 ml/100 g; (C) 2 to 10 parts by weight of ethylene-α-olefin copolymer; and (D) 0 to 16 parts by weight of silica. The rubber composition for anti-vibration rubber that has low dynamic magnification (small increase in elastic modulus associated with an increase in rubber deformation rate), excellent durability (bearing force against breakage due to repeated deformation of rubber), excellent heat resistance, etc., and that can be effectively used as a vulcanization molding material for a center bearing support, etc.

MOUNTING BUSHING

A mounting bushing for a vehicle satisfies durability requirements as well as performance, such as ride comfort, handling, and noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) reduction. The mounting bushing includes an inner pipe, an elastic portion surrounding an external side of the inner pipe, an intermediate pipe surrounding an external side of the elastic portion and having a cutout provided in an axial direction, and an outer pipe surrounding an external side of the intermediate pipe. The elastic portion is formed of a material having a dynamic ratio lower than a dynamic ratio of a rubber material.
