BLOCK LOCK WITH A TWIST LOCK
The invention relates to a block lock for connecting two chain ends which comprises two block lock halves which extend in the longitudinal direction and which engage with each other in a positive fit via pins and grooves and lock to form two seating openings, each one to receive a chain link. The seating openings are separated by a crossbar which extends from one of the block lock halves to the opposite block lock half, wherein the block lock halves are coupled so as to rotate about the crossbar and/or on an end of a block lock half, a pin which protrudes in the direction of the opposite block lock half, which engages laterally in one lateral seating groove formed on one end of the opposite block lock half, when carrying out a relative rotational movement of both block lock halves.

SECURING PIN, CHAIN CONNECTOR AND METHOD FOR SECURING A CHAIN CONNECTOR
The invention relates to a securing pin (16) which, in order to secure two chain connector shackles (12, 14) of a chain connector (10) against becoming disengaged, can be inserted into an opening (28) formed by the two chain connector shackles (12, 14), comprising a base body (30) with a through-hole (32), at least one spring ring (34), at least two balls (36), and a securing member (38) inserted into the through-hole (32), wherein an annular groove (54) in which the spring ring is inserted (34) is provided in a lateral surface (59) of the base body (30), wherein the annular groove (54) is provided with two bore holes (66) which are aligned with the through-hole (32) and in which the balls (36) rest, and wherein the spring ring (34) has at least one leg (64) which extends in the longitudinal direction of the base body (30) and which bends out of shape if the securing pin (16) is inserted into the opening (28) incorrectly. The invention further relates to a chain connector (10) for connecting two chains formed from links and to a method for connecting two chains by means of a chain connector (10) and for securing the chain connector shackles (12, 14) of the chain connector (10) against becoming disengaged by means of a securing pin (16).
Chain fastening assembly
A chain fastening assembly includes a fastener that has a first loop and a second loop. The first loop has a clevis that is attached to a chain being releasably fastened to the first loop. Additionally, the first loop has a diameter that is sufficient to have a chain link passed therethrough regardless of the orientation of the chain link. The second loop has an inside diameter being sufficient to have a chain link passed therethrough when the chain link is oriented to lie on a vertical plane. Thus, the chain link can be passed into the second loop. Moreover, the second loop has an inside diameter being insufficient to allow the chain link to pass therethrough when the chain link is oriented to lie on a horizontal plane. In this way the fastener retains the chain in a closed loop for towing or the like.

REMOTE RELEASE SHACKLE FOR CHOKER HITCH
A shackle for a choker hitch includes a shackle body having a first end portion and a second end portion, a stabilizer portion positioned therebetween, a first leg and a second leg fixedly spaced apart by, and connected to, the stabilizer. The body includes a load-facing surface with a gripping surface extending from the first to the second end portion. A rod is removably positioned across the first end portion, and rigidly and removably connects the first leg to the second leg at the first end portion. A remotely releasable pin device includes a pin removably positioned across the second end portion and releasably connecting the first leg to the second leg at the second end portion. The load-facing surface may be curved or flat. The pin may be at 90 degrees for horizontal lifts, or less, e.g., 80 degrees, to the shackle body for vertical lifts.
Cable slider with symmetric pieces
A device which can slide up and down on a chain or cable, can be loosened to attach to the chain or cable, but does not have any parts that come free when the part is loosened. The device includes first and second pieces, each made of structural material, the first and second pieces fitting together at concave and convex surfaces, to form an interlock forms inner surfaces with a through hole of a first shape that can slide along either a cable or a chain.

Shackle with self centering closure cross member
A shackle with a closure cross member having a concave cross section is disclosed. The closure cross member is inserted into the lugs at the end of a bail of a shackle such that the concave cross section is disposed between the inner faces of the lugs on the bail. The concave cross section of the closure cross member works to center a wire or rope connected to the shackle closure cross member and ensure that the wire or rope is perpendicular to the centerline of the closure cross member. The concave cross section disposed between the inner faces of the lugs on the bail ensures that the wire or rope connecting a load to the shackle remains normal to the centerline of the closure cross member regardless of the movement or orientation of the load attached to the shackle.
Repair link for twist link and other chain types
A repair link for chain comprises a body and first and second loop sections. The body has a longitudinal axis. The first loop section extends from the body and defines a first loop opening with a first loop axis extending normal to the first loop opening. The second loop section extends from the body opposite the first loop section. The second loop section defines a second loop opening with a second loop axis extending normal to second loop opening. The first loop axis and the second loop axis are non-parallel. Each of the first and second loop sections has a removable loop segment. Each removable loop segment is removable to open the respective loop opening to couple the repair link to another link of chain, and reassembleable with the respective loop section in a locked position to secure the removable loop segment and enclose the respective loop opening.
