A control device for automatic transmission of the present invention includes a transmission mechanism and a park lock device. The park lock device has a rod member and a lock mechanism. The lock mechanism restricts movement of the rod member when being in a locked state. If a CPU reset (reset of a CPU constituting an ATCU) occurs, the control device maintains the locked state of the lock mechanism after a return from the CPU reset.

A system for parking control of a vehicle in which a transmission parking configuration is omitted is provided. The system includes a shift by wire device that requests a parking control of the vehicle when a parking stage is input by an operation of a driver. An electronic parking brake operates a brake installed on a drive wheel via a relay which is connected to be in a parking brake state when the electronic parking brake receives the parking control request from the shift by wire device. The shift by wire device switches the relay to directly operate the brake to be in the parking brake state when the shift by wire device receives a failure event, which indicates that a normal operation of the electronic parking brake is impossible, from the electronic parking brake.

An electric motor is supported by the housing and is linked to a lock lever, an extending portion of the lock lever engaging the locking wheel. A PCB board is integrated into the housing and is communicable with at least one external sensor associated with a driver exit condition. Upon a triggering of the exit condition with the shifter in other than a Park position, the motor being energized to retract the lock lever to permit the return spring to rotate the wheel to the Park position.

A hydraulic pressure control device includes a solenoid valve configured to supply hydraulic pressure to switch between an engaged state and a released state of a lock-up clutch, and a transmission control device configured to control the solenoid valve. The solenoid valve supplies hydraulic pressure to switch between a parking locked state and a parking released state of a parking lock mechanism, in addition to switching of the lock-up clutch.
