MECHANICAL CONVERTER
A mechanical converter of irregular bi-directional motion into continuous and consistent single direction motion through a system of gears, drive shafts, freewheels, and flywheel. The system works by transforming circular movement, both clockwise and counterclockwise from the input shaft into continuous rotation of an output shaft through the use of a pair of free wheels solidly connected to the input shaft which transfers the alternating motion, depending on the rotation of the input shaft, to two parallel secondary shafts.
BICYCLE DUAL POWER TURNING TRACK, RACK, PINION, AND ONE-WAY BEARING PROPULSION SYSTEM
A dual powered propulsion system for use with a human powered vehicle is provided. The system includes a connecting rod with a front end operatively coupled to yoke-connected forearm bars. The system also includes a splitter coupled to a rear end of the connecting rod, wherein the splitter is coupled to a first rack and a second rack that operate with a first and second pinion gear to turn a crank axle. This system supplies rotational power to the crank axle in a single rotational direction as the connecting rod is oscillated up and down and back and forth. Even though a solid connecting rod is used to transfer power from the oscillating forearm bars to the crank axle, the vehicle is steerable to the right or left as a result of the use of a carriage, on rollers, and a turning track operatively connected to the forearm bars.
Internal combustion engine with improved torque transmission
An internal combustion engine includes a standard connecting rod as well as a gear rack. The connecting rod can be a standard connecting rod that reciprocates with the piston and that drives a rotatable crank mechanism to convert the reciprocating motion of the piston into rotation of the crankshaft. The gear rack is also connected to and reciprocates with the piston. The gear rack is engaged with a gear that is mounted on the crankshaft. A one-way drive mechanism is provided between the gear and the crankshaft that transmits torque (i.e. rotary force) to the crankshaft only during the power stroke of the piston.
Injector with transmission mechanism, in particular gear train
An injector for ejecting an intraocular lens into an eye, comprises a longitudinal injector body, in which an injector piston rod can be guided in an axially displaceable manner, an injector nozzle at a front end of the injector body, in the direction of which the injector piston rod can be displaced, a displacement mechanism for pushing the injector piston rod forwards, and an actuating element for the manual actuation of the displacement mechanism. The displacement mechanism includes a transmission mechanism, by means of which the actuating element and the injector piston rod can be placed in an articulated driving connection, and an operating region for the actuation of the actuating element is formed at a longitudinal side of the injector body.
Auxiliary bicycle transmission
An auxiliary bicycle transmission for a bicycle has a crossbar formed by a telescoping bar slidably mounted in an outer channel member. One end of a half chain or half V-belt is connected to the telescoping bar, the other end is connected by means of a spring to the upper end of a down tube, and the chain or V-belt that engages a freewheeling sprocket or pulley so that when the telescoping bar extends out of the outer channel member against the spring force, the freewheeling sprocket rotates and provides additional motive force to the standard transmission of the bicycle.
Tooth clutch transmission for wheelchairs
A conveyance to carry humans, such as a wheelchair, is described having levers on each side of the wheelchair that are manually moved forward and backward to propel the conveyance. The levers are connected to a tooth clutch mechanism that allow the user to shift into forward, reverse or neutral, brake, and change mechanical advantage (gear ratio), all this without removing the user's hands from the drive levers.
System for adjusting the conveyor belt tension force within an agricultural harvester
In one aspect, a system for adjusting the conveyor belt tension force within an agricultural harvester may include a conveyor having a first roller, a second roller spaced apart from the first roller, and a conveyor belt configured to engage the first and second rollers. The system may also include a tensioner assembly having a ratcheting mechanism configured to selectively adjust a position of the first roller relative to the second roller to adjust a tension force exerted on the conveyor belt.
Apparatus for outputting a solid material, such as entrained in a fluid
An apparatus for outputting a solid material entrained in a fluid, the apparatus comprising a receptacle for receiving the solid material, an input for the fluid, an output for solid material, an auger for transporting the solid material from the receptacle to the output, a motor for driving the auger, wherein the motor comprises one or more cylinders each comprising a piston, a second input connected to the input so as to feed part of the fluid to the cylinders, where a cross section of a piston is at least 700 mm.sup.2 or wherein a drive transforming the reciprocating movement of each piston, relative to the cylinder, to rotation of the auger around the first axis, is configured to rotate the auger at least 20 degrees when a cylinder completes a cycle.
Gear device for clutch
A gear device for a clutch contains: a drive gear, a first clutching member, and a second clutching member. The drive gear includes multiple first actuation protrusions and multiple second actuation protrusions, wherein each of the multiple first actuation protrusions has a beveled face and a flat top face, and each of the multiple second actuation protrusions has a beveled face and a flat top face. The first clutching member includes multiple third actuation protrusions, each of the multiple third actuation protrusions has a beveled face and a flat top face, and the first clutching member includes a first positioning disc and a first resilient element.
