ARRANGEMENT FOR CONDUCTING, TREATING AND/OR MEASURING A FLUID
A configuration for installation into a pipeline of a fluid network. The configuration has a connection housing with an inlet, an outlet, and a connection opening for connection of an exchangeable functional unit. The connection housing has a rotatably arranged core piece whose rotation makes it possible for the throughflow of the fluid through the connection housing to be blocked and/or released. The core piece has a receptacle for connection of the functional unit, and the receptacle and the connection opening are oriented in the same direction.

Disclosed herein is a valve apparatus for vehicles that is configured such that the sealability of a valve body can be markedly enhanced. The valve apparatus includes a valve body, a valve member and a sealing unit. The valve body is provided with at least two ports and has an internal space communicating with the ports. The valve member is rotatably installed in the internal space so as to open or close the ports. The sealing unit is provided to seal at least one of the ports. The sealing unit includes a sealing body airtightly installed on an inner surface of the corresponding port, and at least one elastic element integrally provided on a first end of the sealing body. The elastic element axially applies elastic force to the sealing body so that a second end of the sealing body comes into airtight contact with the valve member.
Plug valve having preloaded seal segments
A plug valve including a valve body having an inlet port, an outlet port and a central chamber extending between the inlet port and the outlet port. The valve also includes an inlet seal segment within the central chamber and includes a bore extending therethrough and aligned with the inlet port. An outlet seal segment is disposed within the central chamber having a bore extending therethrough and aligned with the outlet port. A plug member is disposed in the central chamber and is moveable between an open position, to facilitate fluid flow through the plug valve, and a closed position, to block fluid flow through the plug valve. First and second side segments are disposed between and interlocked to the inlet and outlet seal segments to encircle the plug member. The side segments are tensioned to preload the seal segments against the plug member to prevent the flow of fluid between the seal segments and the plug member.
VALVE APPARATUS FOR VEHICLE
Disclosed herein is a valve apparatus for vehicles that is configured such that the sealability of a valve body can be markedly enhanced. The valve apparatus includes a valve body, a valve member and a sealing unit. The valve body is provided with at least two ports and has an internal space communicating with the ports. The valve member is rotatably installed in the internal space so as to open or close the ports. The sealing unit is provided to seal at least one of the ports. The sealing unit includes a sealing body airtightly installed on an inner surface of the corresponding port, and at least one elastic element integrally provided on a first end of the sealing body. The elastic element axially applies elastic force to the sealing body so that a second end of the sealing body comes into airtight contact with the valve member.
Three-way valve for flow rate control and temperature control device
Provided are a three-way valve for flow rate control and a temperature control device, which have improved sealing performance at a sealed portion at which a valve body is rotatably sealed against a fluid having a low temperature of about 85 C. as compared to a case without sealing means for sealing an end portion of the valve body on a side closer to drive means so that the end portion is rotatable with respect to a valve main body, the sealing means having a substantially U-shaped cross section and being made of a synthetic resin, and being urged in an opening direction by a spring member made of a metal. The three-way valve for flow rate control includes: a valve body having a cylindrical shape and having an opening, which is arranged in a freely rotatable manner in a valve seat of a valve main body, and simultaneously switches a first valve port from a closed state to an opened state and switches a second valve port from an opened state to a closed state; drive means for driving the valve body to rotate; and sealing means for sealing an end portion of the valve body on a side closer to the drive means so that the end portion is rotatable with respect to the valve main body, the sealing means having a substantially U-shaped cross section and being made of a synthetic resin, and being urged in an opening direction by a spring member made of a metal.
