Feed-through assembly

A feed-through assembly for a bulkhead for moving and static engine components. The feed-through assembly can be configured to include flexible convolutions that allow for movement and sealing of the engine component relative to the bulkhead. In one aspect, a flexible convoluted spherical element can be provided in the feed-through assembly. In another aspect, a flexible convoluted bellow element can be provided in the feed-through assembly. These flexible convoluted elements can have multiple convolution sections including convolution sections with varying stiffness. The convolution sections can be configured to allow movement of the shaft relative to the bulkhead, including, transverse deflection and tilt.

Line feedthrough

A line feedthrough for guiding at least one line through a component, contains a cladding tube, at least one element which is mounted within the cladding tube and can rotate relative to the cladding tube, and a sealing element which is in the form of a flexible hose body and arranged within the cladding tube and the element. The hose body is connected, in an axial end region, to the element and can be displaced by rotational movement between a closed position and an open position. A guide element is provided which can be displaced in the longitudinal direction relative to the cladding tube, and which cooperates with a guide track of the element. The guide track of the element is in a spiral shape, such that a displacement of the guide element in the longitudinal direction leads to a rotation of the element relative to the cladding tube.

A retention mechanism provided for use with a first line and a second line comprises a flexible convoluted web, a first conduit, and a second conduit. The first conduit defines a first passageway through the web, and is configured to receive the first line through the first passageway. The second conduit defines a second passageway through the web, and is configured to receive the second line through the second passageway. The first and second conduits are attached to and surrounded by the web such that the web enables movement of the first and second lines when the first and second lines are fixed respectively to the first and second conduits and extend respectively through the first and second passageways.

Pipe Floor/Wall Penetration Bellows Seal

A sealing system including a first end and a second end with flexible bellows extending therebetween. The first end includes a base plate with an inner ring having an inner diameter. The inner ring is configured to receive a pipe therethrough. The pipe has an outer diameter, which is smaller than the inner diameter of the inner ring. The bellows of the sealing system has a first length in a first position and second length in a second position. Upon axial expansion of the pipe, the bellows is configured to move from the first position to the second position. The sealing system may also comprise a mechanical protective element, such as a shroud which extends around the bellows. Movement of the bellows can be further limited with rods extending from the shroud to a surrounding substrate or a cable fixing a maximum distance between the pipe and the shroud.

An apparatus for sealing a hole or a shape in a surface, which, in an exemplary embodiment, may take the form of a sheet of a soft material containing an interior hole, an exterior surface, a top lip, and an outer area. It may likewise be contemplated for the sealing apparatus to feature a bottom lip. Part of the apparatus may be roughened or have a rough surface attached thereto, which may be imprinted into the interior portion of the body and the exterior portion of the body and the top lip, or both. An adhesive pipe sealant may be used along the rough surface and bonded to the increased surface area of the roughened region.
